My fellow Freepers ;
My cousin Darryl, who is 17, and his soon to be wife, Kim, are about to lose their newborn girl, Kaitland Marie. She probably won't see the Sunday sunrise.
Kaitland Marie was born on May 17, and weighed 8pounds 6 ozs. Nothing appeared wrong, but she wouldn't breast feed.
On Tuesday, the 28st, she got sick, and her Dr. sent her to Scottish Rite in Atlanta. She was put in ICU.
Wednesday, her liver shut down. Thursday, her kidneys. The Dr.s then told Darryl and Kim that the baby had no hope of recovery.
Since Thursday, the Hospital staff has revived her 3 times after her heart stopped, against the wishes of everyone involved.
Tonight, the Dr.s have finally said no more cpr, so her time is near to be with the Lord.
Both families involved are involved with churches, and have recieved many prayers and much food.
But, I feel that someone can never use enough prayer. So, I ask for the prayers of all you freepers for the soul of this little girl, and for the families involved.
Although the parents are both young, and they were not married at the time of birth, they waited so that Kim's Father's insurance would pay for the baby. Both kid's are really good kids who really need our prayers.
Lastly, how does everyone feel that the hospital didn't care for the parents wishes not to revive?
I respect your opinion on the matter.
This is my first "other than sourced news" post in 7 months or so. And, my intentions were to post it in general, but my tired, overworked brain slipped.
Thanks for your regards. May the Lord look over you and yours.
Kermit
Her soul is safe in the hands of God, He loves the little ones so much.
The outcome is in His hands.
May God bless you and yours in this, your time of great sorrow. Be safe and secure in the knowledge that God has His plan ever in motion, and that you do His will. He will keep all of you safe in His loving arms, and you will find His peace. Amen.
Be well, my friend, and we'll talk soon...
I tried to thank everyone for their replies, I apologize if I left anyone out.
This thread helped fill my sleepless hours awaiting the call with something other than sadness. And I'm sure that every Prayer will help ease the families grief.
Thanks everyone.
Kermit
Thanks for the encouraging words.
Darryl has shown grief and isn't trying to be Superman. He just tries to be strong for his Mother and sisters, who have a hard time with death as it is.
Although I hope that my words do help, what will bring Darryl through is his faith, family, and friends.
Myself, I'm fine. I handle death a little better than most.(I try to think anyway). I know that baby is in the Lord's hands. I am more concerned for my Aunt,(Grandmother)than anything else.
God is the giver and author of life....It is reassuring to know He has a plan .
May God hold this family in His hands . I will pray for them today .
As far as the wishes of the parents not being honored, that is something that they will have to deal with later on. What a sad, sad story.
Bible says, if I remember correctly, where there is no knowledge of sin, there is no condemnation of sin...This little girl's soul is in good hands...
