President Bush and First Lady Laura headed to the United States Military Academy at West Point to give the Commencement Speech. In this bicentennial graduation, Bush told West Point graduates that they must protect and preserve American freedom at a time when terrorism puts it in jeopardy. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Mo1, you "can't" cook perfectly ... yet ... because you haven't made enough cooking mistakes. (I am serious.) If we have someone teaching us at home before we set up on our own, cooking is much easier. OR, we can learn the hard way through many trials and errors. I learned the hard way and have turned into an excellent cook, even to the point where a friend had me prepare and sell her and her husband dinners once a week. I have taught others how to cook. There are many cook's secrets that make cooking a breeze. You just need a little help, and patience with yourself. You can do it!

I couldn't wait for the dose any longer. I had to go to beddie bye. But this morning I say: Better late than never!
I love these wonderful pictures of the West Point cadets with the President. Wow!!!!! And Laura's suit is beautiful. I don't think I could be more pleased with these two.
Thanks rintense!

Gretchen, I always enjoy your posts, and I agree with Mo1 that you are always an optimist! I liked your theory on loving the terrorists (I have a hard time with that, too), and also I copied your thoughts about learning to cook and sent them to my youngest daughter. Hope you don't mind! She's already an accomplished little baker, but her poor hubby is starting to worry about DINNER every night! LOL. My daughter is too busy whipping up masterpieces with her new professional KitchenAid mixer!!

I am a fashion maven. Vicariously.Pssst. Don't tell NordP, but I am a vicarious fashion maven, too!! I am one of the least fashionable people I know, but I know what fashion I like and don't like. So I guess that makes me un-fashionable, and just plain opinionated!

Oh, wow! I want to steal your graphic. I'm kind of tech challenged, but my daughter has promised to help me with my FR page this summer. Thinking I will take some pictures of Crawford for y'all and put them on it.

HSM, green chiles aren't hot, but I'm proud you bucked up and ate them.

When His Word demands some action of me that I know I'm not capable of doing, if I ask Him to give me the grace to obey His Word, He changes my heart to obey His Word. Thanks, Gretchen. I think my problem is that I don't want my heart changed in this matter so I will have to work on that.

Um...I know they're not hot. My point was that this well meaning gal thought they were..and because we like spicy foods she put *the whole small can* in. LOL...tasted like bland chicken with gravy.
I love porcini's or jalepeno's on sandwiches or just for a quick snack. yummmmmmm.

"I think my problem is that I don't want my heart changed in this matter so I will have to work on that."
Therein lies the beauty of the thing, McLynnan! You don't have to want your heart changed, you only need to want to obey His Word, which tells us to love our enemies, and do good to those who despitefully use us, and from that motive, ask Him to change your heart so that your heart will want to love your enemies. Does that make sense? This was one of the most revolutionary things ever to come alive to me! When my straying, disobedient heart hates God's ways, He doesn't leave me in them! He gave me the way of grace out of my own ways. I just have to ask for the grace to want His grace, and when the Holy Spirit moves on me, then I need to respond.

Okay, gotcha and apologize I didn't read for humor content. You have a standing invitation to visit and we will hop TexMex restaurants together.

Well I would certainly hope so ... it being the "oneth of the month". Besides, you are #1 in everybody's book for all your hard work in putting the dose together for us every day. It sure does make it easier to dismiss the dissing of our President by the other side.
To: Wphile
Oh my ... I was thinking that very thing when I saw this picture earlier on the dose. I said to myself ... just imagine being in the waiting line when the President walks up and shakes your hand. I'm sure I will be speechless.
