Apparently the pool shooting teens had big plans.

I wonder if those plans included prison.

I certainly hope the parents' insurance company cancels their policy. This is just plain negligence. Could be that the folks wanted to remodel anyway.

Mistakes were made.

Since when do parents trust their home to a teen? And where were the neighbors? I heard on TV that Dean Martin ended his kids' party by going upstairs at 10 PM and phoning in a complaint to the police. "Those Martin kids are having a noisy party." That ended the party. He slept well.

Now that is a heck of party. All I had to deal with was explaining the presence of 150 red beer cups in the garbage... I thought I had thought of everything... Dang.

Teens' Party Costs $1,000,000.00 in Damages

That's better than $1,000,000.50 in damages. :^)

(They add the cents to make the number look bigger than it is.)

A new way to burn your house down for the insurance money and not get caught.

This statement is every parents worst nightmare:

But by the time the firefighters had arrived the next morning, ... Nothing good can follow.

According to the story in our paper, the son wasn't innocent as it first appeared. Apparently, he had been ciruclating news of his party around his school for weeks prior to the event. Also, the family's two cats died in the fire. I don't understand teens who can't be trusted at home for a weekend. Very sad.

I don't know what most of this thread has to do with politics, teen vandals, or anything else for that matter. But I'm certainly enjoying it.

No doubt their liberal parents will ask the youths to "write a paragraph" expressing their apologies...
So, everything's OK now, right? (/sarcasm)
