[history]
The Michigan teenager simply invited a couple of friends over to play pool at his families million dollar Farmington hills home, then left them to join his parents for Memorial Day at a cottage near Fenton, Michigan.
But by the time the firefighters had arrived the next morning, a wrecking crew of his fellow teens had fled, leaving behind a million dollar mess.

I think you're right. Diaz seems to be friendlier and more inviting. She's the girl dear old dad would have married whereas Penelope Cruz is the one you would take to a party.

I don't think deliberate destruction of your own home is covered by homeowners policies.
To: codebreaker
They may not cover it because of the negligence of the son, although they should. Calling it a deliberate plan by the parents to get the house ruined for the insurance money is a bit ridiculous, don't you think?

I'm not sure she is worth 20 million a picture but Cameron does come off well on screen and is giving Julia 'Horse Face' Roberts a run for her money for the top leading lady.
Hoping to get a look at 'Gangs of New York' soon, the script is already out on the internet and it looks like Daniel Day Lewis in the role of 'The Butcher' (that Deniro turned down) will win the 2003 Oscar.

Gross negligence may not be covered under that policy..depends how you define it

C. Diaz is as flat as a bowling lane. With all her millions she could have bought a couple of B+'s, at least. Penny Cruse is a trained ballerina and has twice the bod as Diaz.

Diane Lane now..

She certainly has model girl looks. :)

Guess LOTR is never going to win those Oscars. The Academy wouldn't have wanted to award it Best Picture 3 times back to back.

Good grief. Yes, the well known insurance-fraud through teenager-kegger scam. Well, I didn't seem to sound harsh, but I am sick of the skyrocketing insurance premiums I am forced to pay on my home and business -- and I've never even had a claim, except for wind damage 10 years ago.
Last year my homeowners' policy canceled me because of peeling paint (we are in the middle of refurbishing the house.) Dumbest thing I ever heard -- we'd been with the company for 19 years.
This year, all of my business insurance has been canceled, and my agent is out shopping for new policies. We've never even had a claim.
The insurance business has taken some major hits because of terrorism and 9/11; and we're all being forced to pay through the nose as a result. Negligent parents who turn their house over to a bunch of rowdies don't help. (And yes, I read that they were not home when this happened. They should have raised their son to be more responsible and to seek more civilized friends.)

I'm with you....neither is chopped liver but I prefer Penelope as well. Now if we could all please get back to the Miss Universe thread and Miss Russia...LOL....now she is a major league looker.

I thought it was quite evident, but I can't account for some peoples' poor eyesight -- or the possibility of a missing synapse to the brain!

I saw it...not bad. Better than the campy original. The recent Vegas flick with the Elvis casino robbers was not too bad. Kevin Costner dies and Kurt Russell is the hero...sounds good so far right?
