"We have some local media (2 NJ 'statewide' tv stations-------"

These two stations showed me just how little they care about NJ coverage. The night of the Newark Mayoral election ---- one of the most interesting ones in recent years and with state-wide interest ----- they both chose not to cover the returns until 10PM --- well after the race was decided. It was not as tho there was anything earth shattering on their stations when the polls closed. Why didn't they cover it? I got all my numbers from my 'puter --- nothing from NJ TV. A pox on both of them!

BTW, they were at Forrester HDQ yesterday, doing their thing - whatever that is.

Well, their was RINO Clifford Case who actually was more liberal than the Democrat who was the Junior Senator.

The most recent Senator that NJ had who was even close to being a real Republican was Alexander Smith, last elected in.... 1952. The most "conservative" Senator elected by Jerseyites since then is none other than Bob Torricelli. No kidding.

Don't believe it? The others have been: Clifford Case, Harrison Williams, Bill Bradley, Frank Lautenberg & Jon Corzine. Ultra-libs all, including Bradley, who (like Bob Kerrey) used to pose as a moderate, but was really hard-left. When you hear the word "moderate", think: "a liberal who's too much of a coward and a liar to admit the truth about him- (or her-) self".

No surprise. The most conservative governor of New York State for the past 80 years was Democrat Hugh Carey.

Ouch. The truth hurts.

And that embarrassing fact will remain true if Diane Allen wins.

I know almost nothing about Forrester, except that he is “a millionaire” (you’re supposed to sneer like a newscaster when you say that, and pretend that Torricelli and Corzine aren’t in the same tax bracket.)

Anyway, I’ll vote for Forrester in the primary to try to kill Allen’s campaign. In the general, I might go for Forrester but I’ll give the Libertarian candidate a good look if Forrester makes the usual post-primary break to the left.

This is nothing but a repeat of the 1994 campaign of Pete Wilson vs Kathleen Brown. Wilson started out with a 15% approval rating. Yes, 15%... But his opponent was so inept, and he had so much dough, he was able to pull it out.
