Yeah, but remember that the Chimps are going to be the good guys, you know, the ones who helped Charleton Heston! Its the Gorillas we have to worry about as they are quite warlike.

Maybe the Mid-East can import some of them - it would be an IMPROVEMENT over some of the scum living there now!

This suggests that nut smashing is a cultural, learned behavior that has not spread widely ...

Why does this story remind me of NOW, PETA, and the DNC?

Mothers teach their children to bang on nuts, and some young chimps have been seen hitting nuts with smaller stones, imitating their parent.

What I find interesting is that gorillas and chimpanzees can be taught sign language. Imagine if the gorillas were taught to use AK-47s against poachers? Gorilla warfare!

They're gaining faster than you think.

They're gaining on us.

Gaining? How many humans can open a panda nut without crushing the kernal? Sounds they are beginning to put some distance between them and us.

Panger said the chimps leave the hammer stones beside the anvils

We'll know they've become civilized when some of the chimps steal all of the hammer stones and then lend them out to the other chimps in exchange for some of the nuts.

The CIA ought to employ some of these chimpanzees to help in interrogating terrorists captured in Afghanistan.

Fine, just as long as they don't adapt some half baked, crazed religion that focuses on world domination and heavenly virginal chimpanzees to die for. We don't need that...oh wait a minute, we've already got that problem...never mind.
