Fighting until the end. Both parties need to work together to protect this country. At least they finally passed this bill.

Delay's discription of the 'Rats "shameful campaign to sow doubt about the president's commitment to protecting the American people" is right on the money. Those baldwins have shown their true colors in all of this; the 'Rats truly care more about maintaining their grasp on power than they care about protecting America.

The only thing that they can work together on is spending our tax dollars. Of course when it gets to the Senate, the non-obstuctionist Dasshole will not allow it to go forward.

Bush can shut down his phony-baloney OHS, arm pilots and eliminate the need for sky marshals and two-thirds of the FAA's cockamamie, counter-productive security regulations; Congress can pass a national must issue CCW; we can end ALL foreign aid; we can withdraw from the U.N., the IMF and the World Bank; we can bring the troops home from running town meetings in the Balkans; we can dismantle the giant military bases in England, Italy and Germany; we can escort every illegal to the nearest border and shoot them if they try to come back; we can revoke the visas of every Middle Easterner who so much as sports a five o'clock shadow.
There. Terrorism thwarted and not an additional penny spent, if not saved.
Our leaders are irrational, reckless people who are destroying our future.

Our leaders are irrational, reckless people who are destroying our future. I've always maintained that the "domestic enemies of the Constitution" are a much bigger threat than the foreign ones.

An exhausted and divided House signed off on a $29 billion anti-terrorism bill early Friday Does this mean we are all safe now?

Does this mean we are all safe now? Well, not exactly. We need more borrowed money, more bureaucracies, uninspected, unregulated trucks crossing the borders, and a HUGE increase in foreign payoffs aide before we can be truly safe.

"Enter the Democrats, the true Rulers of the Republic... I feel confident our situation will create a strong sympathy vote for us. The motion for the Republic to commission a Grand Army takes precedent, and that is what we will vote on at this time."

Oh, that makes sense. Eliminate the need for sky marshalls by arming pilots. Then, when terrorists try to hijack his plane, the pilot must open the cockpit door in order to ...what...come out with guns blazing, at 30,000 feet?
To: Kev-Head
The federal government already confiscates $2 trillion annually from Americans and now it needs $29 billion more to do a job which it failed to do before. It will fail again and then Bush and the Republicans will say they need more money, new programs, more personnel, new departments, and new powers.

If you'll poke around on this forum a bit, you'll find many cogent arguments for arming pilots rather than a government union jobbo straight from the BATF firing range.
Succinctly stated, if hijackers make it to the cockpit, the flight crew can shoot them dead rather than watch through their dying eyes while the plane is transformed into a flying pipe bomb. (Or shot out of the sky by an F-16).
A company has already started manufacturing ceramic, frangible bullets. And the owner of FrontSight has offered free training to any airline pilot who asks. My preference is to allow all passengers to be armed. But no, let's all cower in fear and plead for the gummint to protect us.

Would you consider a run for the presidency?...Please? Why do I envision the West Wing of the White House as a Marx Brothers Movie? I thnk I know why Karen left.
