Evidently she was less than 100 yards from Greta van Sustern's house! When did Greta find out about Condit's affair with Chandra, hmmmm?
I don't think Condit did it because he is too much of a coward, but I would not be surprised if someone told him they would take care of his little problem.

"A Park that can swallow up an entire Civil War fort in it's woodlands can easily swallow up a human body."
Not only that, I understand that the inept, incompetent DC PD did not even use a grid system to search the park -- just sent people out and said, "Go look over there somewhere." They may not have even searched the area where her body was found.

Fox just reported that Gary Condit is nowhere to be found. Not necessarily missing, just that NO ONE has spotted him (and Fox has been looking) since yesterday morning.
To: Lee'sGhost
More--Fox checked with the Sheriff's dept., Levy's are convinced she was murdered.

They may not have even searched the area where her body was found.Remembering how big the park is from when I lived up there, I'm not surprised that they didn't come up with the body initially. My guess is that they initially looked down closer to the zoo and closer to downtown - and (in their minds, at least) why not? No one would be foolish enough to dump a body in some of the more remote parts of Rock Creek Park... [/sarcasm]

Assuming she did just that (and I don't have ANY reason to think she did, and more than one reason to think she didn't) she still didn't announce a "big surprise" to Aunt Linda "months ago" - there last conversation was in April. Given the condition of the remains, it's a given that there would be nothing left behind to prove a pregnancy, even if she had been pregnant.

I could be wrong. Just my theory. Fox News just reported rope, looking like "old laundry line" was found in the area around Chandra's remains.
To: Judith Anne
Whoops! Should have put a new paragraph before "Fox..."
To: Judith Anne
Laundry line - good. Maybe they will be able to link it to her killer.

In the absence of news, I'll add to the speculation -- and probably state the obvious. If the "big news" she was going to tell her aunt was that she was pregnant, I think she must have had reason to believe she and Condit were going to be together.
I worked at a college counseling center when I was in school. I never saw an unwed woman who was pregnant, regardless of her circumstances or beliefs, who was not confused and frightened. I don't know many 24 year olds, anywhere, who would regard "I am having a baby by a man who is not going to leave his wife" as joyful news. Nor would she wait to deliver that kind of news until she saw her aunt in person, unless she believed Condit was going to leave his wife.
If she did not think he was supportive, I think she would have confided in her aunt during the conversation that she was pregnant. She would have perceived herself as in trouble and sought advice or solace if she was uncertain what Condit was going to do.
Of course, if this was not what she was going to tell her aunt, the point is moot. But if she was pregnant, I doubt she would have handled it the way the aunt says unless she thought there was going to be a fairy tale ending.
I sure hope the investigation discovers the truth. As a mom, I suspect that not knowing what happened and who killed my daughter, and not having that person or persons brought to justice, would be almost as bad as not knowing whether my child was alive or dead. I pray for the Levys in this time of sorrow.

2800 acres is correct. I've lived here all my life. In fact, over the last year I and my friends must have come within feet of this sight. I've seen Bear tracks in Rock Creek Park. I've also seen a cougar, near by, in a connecting 180 mile long park (C&O Cannal).

I forgot. I also saw Dasshole, out for a walk with his body guard, in Rock Creak a couple months ago. Hmmmm....

No backpack? No Walkman?
There was a walkman found at the scene, but evidently it was omitted in the above article.

Look in his closet. He's crotched down in one of the corners of his closet with the light out, foundling his neck ties.

".....possibly with another body of a man wrapped in clear plastic. "
Well, if it was Condit's body (and the previous posts seem to say he is missing now!), then the man's body would be wrapped in rubber! HAH

One thing that seems interesting is that there is no mention of shorts, jeans, pants or underwear being found. They mention a sweatshirt and a bra but no other clothing. Is this correct and what's the significance?
