I wrote 'em an angry email. B@st@rds. They want to play this kind of sh!t we should just put together a campaign of signs "Vote Democrat! Vote al Qaeda!" or "Democrats and al Qaeda- Let's destroy America together!"
To: Optimist
That's just plain poor taste. There's no other way to put it.

I managed to respond to these tools with only two words:

Disgusted bump.

Nicely put and econimically stated. Perhaps the cartoon to have the ring of truth that all sarcasm and wit must have, should have featured a picture of Clinton looking at the scene and saying "Damn, there goes my chance to be a first tier president." Being as how democrats openly stated that fact after the event and all. Pychological projection is interesting to behold, is it not?

Here is what I sent them:
"Your cartoon of a Republican thinking that the plane about to crash into the Twin Towers would make great campaign material is , at the least, hogwash. Why don't you people run cartoons of dirty perveted Jews preying on innocent little German girls or stealing gold teeth from the corpses in funeral homes? That's about the level of your mentality."

WOW! You are my new literaty hero.
PS. Love the screen name!
To: Optimist
That has got to be the most revolting cartoon I have ever seen.
Think about those poor souls who died that day, and this cartoonist
is making fun of their deaths.

Desperate people do desperate things as so aptly
demonstrated by the deluded Don Wright.

Mine:
Mr. Bartosek,
My family has lived on Palm Beach Island since the 1940's.
We have had family work for the Post, and I myself was the subject of an article in 1972.
One of our family members lost her fiance' in the WTC attacks on September 11th, 2001.
I, and my family, find the cartoon you allowed by Don Wright to be very offensive.
We shall cancel all support of your organization, and submit to others to do the same.
Sincerely,
To: Optimist
Oh, lookie here! The Palm Beach Post has an advertisers section, with an e-mail button to send mail to all of their advertisers. It doesn't get much easier than this.
My standard e-mail will include a copy of the cartoon and a letter saying that I find the exploitation of this tragedy for such grossly partisan aims to be disgusting, and that I find any advertiser associated with such exploitation to be unworthy of my patronage.
I figure I can do about 100 an hour. How about you?

I'm quite sure i'm in the minority here, but I think the cartoonist is right. The administration has been totally irresponsible using 9/11 as a campaign, and legislative, tool. They've been turning the fear of terrorism up and down according to their needs. The dumb Democrats figure the only bogus tactic they get to use is the one that you hint at -
I don't suppose we'll ever see a cartoon of a donkey holding the "BUSH KNEW" edition of the NY Post and saying "What great campaign material!"....

Thanks for your kind comment. I guess rage focuses the concentration.

The AOL Server may not load them all, but you get the idea!
To: okiedust
Thanks.
Pychological projection is interesting to behold, is it not?
Sure is, as interesting as deep, deep denial.
To: Optimist
Dispicable! However, I'm not surprised that something like this would come from the lefties.
To: TontoKowalski
Thanks!
PS. Love the screen name!
Ditto! I've been green with envy ever since I first saw yours. Sure - Tonto Kokwalski was out there for the taking, but did I do it? N-O-O-O-O-O..
