Actually we have funnel clouds every year in Northern California areas. I'm in Elk Grove and saw this particular funnel. Reminded me of my childhood in Northern Illinois. brrr.

Wow! Tornados aren't something you see in California.

Same for Oregon - just not normal according to observed history. Have had a couple of them right here in the Eugene area in recent years, weather norms seem to be changing (and I believe, not due to industry and pollution, but just because they do).

In Texas if it hails on you it's a good idea to seek cover, as that is usally where the tornado is gonna be next. In West Texas, it's a certainty.

I got hit and knocked out in Abilene once(baseball size). Thanks to my friends that carried me into the house, I'm still here to tell about it. Ever since, I tend to get nervous in stormy weather, more so until I hear the horn blow on the train.

BTW: If the hail dings your car up, wait for a really hot day, park it in the sun, let it get egg frying hot, and put dry ice on the dings, they pop right out.

Baseball sized hail....You know, the earthquakes in California are NOTHING compared to what the rest of the country goes through, natural disaster-wise.

Cool suggestion on the car dings.

I didn't realize that the HILLDEBEAST had flown out to Kaliland on her broom to help Herr Davis again.
