Uncle Sam's sailors come with standard-issue red blood, lots of it, with a sturdy cut of the jib, always spoiling for a fight, ready to sink the enemy's ships or break up a saloon. We all know that. Donald Rumsfeld and George W. can be pleased, and so should we all.

If Gore was President the Navy would of stoped in Key West or Provincetown and waiters, decorators and actors all over the country would of been writing their congress critters.

Spending five months total, as an after action photographer with two Green Berets, taken off the line, as your personal body guards, isn't a tour. Hell it's a pot filled vacation. George W. wasn't AWOL he was in a either a Guard or Reserve flight unit.

I don't think someone who likes to pick up and repeat leftists lies will be happy or well accepted on this forum.

Sailors using the serices of hookers. The Shock, the horror, the temerity.

This is not newsworthy, not because it might offend people, but because it is the norm.

Fleet Week in New York is a busy time too. It is a yearly event here. Who cares?

I just hope this doesn't become another conflict where we have more casualties from VD than from fighting.
Will the Stennis have a Clap Ward?

I'm not repeating lefty lies, having just finished my tour of duty I can tell you that the troops are getting more and more disenchanted with Dubya and his spotty record pops up every now and then.

BRAVO SIERRA ALERT!

I work with "the troops" on a daily basis. They're very happy to be serving under Bush as opposed to Clinton or Gore. You're more full of stuff than a Christmas Turkey...

The words of Creedence Clearwater's anti-Vietnam War hit song "Favorite Son" include "I ain't no senator's son". Except for Al Gore. Name me one other Army enlisted who went for 5 months and left untouched( Nov 17-May )? Does the phrase "ticked punching" mean anything to you?

LOL spend time with the troops ? I just finished my tour and the troops are disenchanted especially combat arms, I was with the 1st Infantry in Germany, in four years I did tours of the Sinai , Bosnia and Kosovo, Dubya has not delivered a single thing and attrition (especially junior officers) is at an all time high.

Only a decade ago, as it went to war with Saddam Hussein, the USS Acadia, a supply ship, went to sea and soon had an abundant supply of pregnant sailors. Exactly 10 percent of its crew of 360 not-so-able-bodied seapersons were sent home when they were discovered to be expecting more than combat.

----------------------------------

This has been a problem in the gender-mixed armed services since their inception. Considering not all the personnel of the vessel were women, somewher from 25-30% of them got pregnant. --the love boat.

Good point. People forget, Gore's bodyguards in Vietnam had to stay for whole show.

He left under a program to go to school. Gore enrolled in Vanderbilt Divinity School where, according to Bill Turque, author of "Inventing Al Gore," he received F's in five of the eight classes he took over the course of three semesters. He didn't graduate.

Sniff, sniff. Anyone smell a scam?

When I was on the USS Barney DDG-6 we went to the Med. in 87-88. When we hit Barcelona a fella in my division (we called him Rambo) visited a prostitute and caught crabs.

He took the medicice or ointment or whatever was supposed to get rid of the little critters but he didn't trust that to do the job completely.

So he decided to shave all his pubic hair off. Five weeks later it was Christmas time and we were in Izmir Turkey for 9 days going out for 5 days and coming back for another 4 days. He took leave and flew home to visit the wife and kids for the whole 18 days. But there was a problem. His pubic hairs hadn't grown back yet.

He told his wife that he was chewing gum in his rack and fell asleep only to awaken later and find the gum in his pubic hair. The only solution was to shave it all off.

His wife believed the story which proved to me that a wife will believe whatever she wants to.

Perhaps they are disenchanted because Al Gore's campaign threw so many thousands of their legally valid absentee ballots in the garbage...
