While the question whether people have a right to protect their own lives and the lives of loved ones is important, for most the bottom line is simpler: Do gun laws reduce violent crime?

Only a complete dysron would believe that having 1/2% of the population armed on the side of law and order would be as effective as having say 30% of the population armed on the side of law and order. It says a lot about the intellect of the "gun control" fanatics, that they would even suggest such an absurd proposition. Maybe Jim Brady, with half of his brain shot away, is a more fitting poster boy for the Left on this, than we originally recognized. (And here have I been, abusing his wife for using his poor remains as a stage prop!)
