[history]
NEW ORLEANS - An illegal immigrant who lied about his wife dying in the World Trade Center collapse so he could collect $100,000 in life insurance was sentenced to 15 months in prison.
Jihad Razzaq, 35, had asked U.S. District Judge Mary Ann Vial Lemmon on Wednesday only to deport him to Palestine. The judge also sentenced his friend, Halim Bouderbala, 31, to 13 months in federal prison for backing the fake claim.

The Immigration and Naturalization Service will decide whether to deport the men after they complete their sentences. This is a tough call??
Abolish the INS & put these lunatics out where they can't do any more damage - PLEASE.

Well, before we worry about the continued ineptness of the INS (there's plenty of time to do that --maybe we can mark our calendars a week before their sentences are completed to REMIND the useless wonders at the INS about the ILLEGAL immigrant status of these dregs on our society ;-), at least let us tentatively rejoice and relish in the reward these scam artists got for their efforts to defraud the insurance company and pull yet another 'fast one' on our blessed country. I'm jumpin' jihadin' happy about this one ;-) [note to the prison guard: pssst...looooooose the key ]

A shoplifter gets 15 months in jail don't they? I wonder if it too late to fake my wife's death?

Mr. Razzaq, please remember that soap is animal fat based and can stain clothing. It's much better to use KY jelly. It's sold at the prison commissary.

I don't think it will really be up to him or his choice.

A seemingly disproportionate number of these Arabs are not very bright.
And there is no Palestine for him to have been deported to.

Go for it, dude--if you were born here, they can't deport you. ;0

The guy's name is Jihad?! Well he's certainly got chutzpah.
(Although I'm quite sure the Arabs use a different word than that.)

Razzaq entered the United States in 1993 on a tourist visa that was good for six months. The insurance claim flagged the FBI and led to his arrest.'DOH! I hate it when that happens.
These boys aren't too bright.
"A Man Named Jihad" calls, after 9/11, making a claim related the World Trade Center, and he doesn't think the insurance people are going to look twice, thrice, ten times at the claim? They're just going to cut him a check?

Give those idiots a few months, one cannot expect a quick decision. To be PC, maybe they will invite the clowns wife to move here and all apply for citizenship, make good Americans. They will do the work I dont want to do. Make peaceable, law abiding citizens. In fact ship us more. Wheeeeeee....

You all may laugh, but remember that had he not committed this heinous felony, Jihad would have been eligible for LEGAL CITIZENSHIP STATUS under Jorge Bush's Amnesty program. It 'aint just for Latinos, ya know.

That's what's truly scary. Then the INS
couldn't deport him if they wanted to. I hope his new warden feeds him on pork and beans, then assigns him a cellmate with big, hairy armpits and a sensitive nose.
I'm just waiting for someone to explain why we need so many imported fifth columnists in this country, when there is a surplus of homegrown fifth columnists (like Noam Chomsky).

13 months in the American pokey (so to speak) might make him evermore the grateful when he returns to the hellhole of Palestine.
