[history]
Sens. John McCain and Joseph I. Lieberman hope to force Congress into an election-year gun debate over their measure to require background checks on all firearms sold at gun shows, arguing that it would help improve domestic security.
Mr. McCain, Arizona Republican, and Mr. Lieberman, Connecticut Democrat, introduced their bill a year ago but have recently begun to search for a suitable bill scheduled for action within the next month to which they can add an amendment with their gun-show provisions.

Let's get em all on record voting for disarming Americans in the mist of terrorism threats in an election year. Bring it on...

McCain is a total jerk. What is he thinking? Lets introduce more Gun Control. I'm a REPUBLICAN LEADER ... I was sent here to get more Gun Control. This will help the Republicans win middle of the road voters in a crucial election year. NOT. He's still a little baby having a temper tantrum because he is now just a marginal senator from a smallish state (population wise) and not the big time player he'd like to be. Idiot. Jerk.

If they want a debate, they should just ask Wayne LaPierre, or even Ted Nugent!

McCrazy is right this time. We need backround checks on box cutters, not guns. A check on certain senators mental condition wouldn`t be a bad idea too. Not that I`m a big fan of Lott, but can you imagine trying to get the R`s in the Senate to agree on anything. Its got to be, as Bob Dole said, like herding cats.

Well well well, I see we have a new pair of Sorelosermen eh?
McCain is getting worse all of the time. What is this '"orce" stuff, who do these people think they are anyway?
I assume McCain thinks he can blackmail the Pubbies with his courting of the left keeping them wondering if he is going to defect so he can get his weird and Anti-American agenda passed.

"It just makes no sense to allow criminals and terrorists to evade background checks at a time when we are tightening homeland security," Mr. McCain says in the ad. Senator, what makes no sense is to allow criminals, and terrorists entry into the country across our open borders!

You think? Orin is a classic example of what Washington can do to good men. What happened to him? In the late 80`s, I thought he might be the next Pres. Not now, but I think he would be great on the supremms---it would be a hoot to watch Leahy

BOHICA. These clowns are a disgrace to the nation. I don't care how many years McCain spent eating rice in a bamboo cage, that doesn't give him the moral authority to attack U.S. citizens. And Lieberman is just plain pathetic.
I'm sure the NRA/GOA/JPFO et al are looking forward to another brisk round of fund raising in repsonse to outrages like this. Certainly, I know of two senators who will be gettig "F" ratings from the NRA this year.

To "PROTECT AND DEFEND" the Constitution.
That is the OATH that they take. That is the OATH that they break!
A third grader can recite the definition of "infringe" so why can't these two clowns understand it?
