Dutch radio | May 07 2002

After a meeting with Wim Kok and List Pim Fortuyn, it is decided that the Dutch elections will go on as planned on May 15.

Yesterday Pim Fortuyn, party leader of LPF was shot dead by an extreme left activist.

There were doubts wether the elections would still go on.

List Pim Fortuyn decided to go on and that the May 15 elections will still be held.

The left demonized Fortuyn with the media, the extreme left killed him, but they cannot stop what Fortuyn strated. His words and actions will live on.

May 15 is the only chance there is for me to vote for him. And there is nothing that can stop me from doing so.

For a better tomorrow...

Will he be on the ballot? If he wins, who will represent him?

He will stay on the voting list. His name cannot be removed, law states so. There is nothing about who will replace him.

[laughs] Nothing but whatever dried-pea sized remains of common sense might still be rattling around inside your noggin...

Today on front page of the National Post they covered this tragic event with the headline, "Holland has lost its innocence".The Globe and Mail says, "Netherlands stunned by slaying of extremist".The CBC radio said he was "libertarian".

I visit this site here for information on politics in the Netherlands.

Oh, great. Look what you did. I've managed to block that hideous song from my head for so long, and you weasel it back in there.

I demand reparations!

Will his number two guy be understood as the actual candidate? Man , that would be so sweet...Young black guy, so it would be much, much harder for the left to demonize him as a racist, PLUS-

Y'all over there can't make fun of Missouri anymore for "electing a dead man." I saw the comments on the Guardian Unlimited Talk Board, the BBC Talk Board, Talk.Politics.European-Union, alt.politics.Europe....

Seriously, tragic as this murder is, the left may have not only made a martyr, they may have put in place a man who'll be unstoppable.

>I'm pretty much out of the loop of Dutch politics...

[laughs] I was just being coy.

Gay, Marxist, right wingers getting shot in the head outside a radio station. It's just all so American that I think we're all pretty much in the loop on this one.

Besides, isn't this exactly how Oliver Stone ended his movie (leave it to the silly-assed Europeans to copy-cat their politics around the killing of a US media "celebrity" -- The Life and Murder of Alan Berg) Talk Radio:

Will the left wing media refer to the killer as an extremist? Will they vilify the left for having violent thugs in thier ranks? Will they continue to refer to rioting thugs at world summits as mostly peaceful?

Liberty is a threat to the EU socialists.
