Actually if I'm not mistaken, we do have a separate police force from the CHP, the California State Police.

Years ago when someone said that the CHP was involved in something like this, I wouldn't worry. Now ??

Shortly after Fascist Davis became governor, truckers up and down our expressways in No. Cali went from the legal 55 mph speed limit to 70+. If you drive on I5, 80, 680 or whatever and try to go 65 to 70 in the slow lane, a trucker will be trying merge your rear license plate with his front license plate.

I mentioned this about 6 months after Davis became Benito II for Kali to a retired CHP. He came back with an interesting comment/question, "Have you ever seen any speeding trucker pulled over by a CHP since Davis became the El Supremo for Kali?"

I told him that I couldn't really recall seeing one, but I hadn't been keeping count. He told me the first time that I saw a speeding trucker pulled over on an interstate in N. Kali, with the exception during special weeks of ticketing them after announcements go out about the special patrols to give him a call about where and when I saw the pulled over trucker.

3 plus years later, I have yet to make the call to him even during the so called high ticket weeks. I did see one trucker pulled over just south of Bakersfield about 3 years ago. I think that the officer was a state policeman not a CHP! That is why I think that we have a separate State Police Force. He and his fellow officer dressed in Blue had a pistol and their shotgun aimed at the truck driver who was in the position against the real end of his truck.

Not anymore. The State Police are now part of the CHP

My understanding is that the California Highway Patrol is the ONLY state police agency in California. Counties and cities all have multiple agencies.

The only place I've seen a speeding truck pulled over, is after a big-rig accident-- and on the news, and on the news, again, when they say the CHP COMMI ordered a crack-down on speeding trucks. The CHP COMMI ordered a crack-down about three times this year.

Down here in SoCal the CHP truck enforcement detail wear blue jumpsuit uniforms and drive Dodge Rams or all white cruisers.

What the hell does trucking/ticketing there of, have anything to do with the article?

Sounds to me like you are one of those folks who think trucks should be banned from the road. If they are too slow, you intelligent biengs in four wheelers, talking on cell phones, get in accidents because you can't drive and talk and menuever all at the same time in passing a truck.

If the trucks drive too fast, you complain that they are rear ending you and riding your assets. If you are not doing the speed limit in any lane, anyone will ride your ass. If you want to do the speed limit in the hammer lane, expect to have your back side riddin' by any vehicle untill you get the hell out of the way. Which, you most likely take it so personal that you would probably stay where you are and never move over. In which case, you would be the guilty party because all freeways have signs that read "SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT".

Stop blaming truckers for your frustrations. If it were not for truckers, you would starve.
