Only one vote per person.

This should be 95% no, with the remainder answering don't know/care.

This nonesense was manufactured by OzoneMan prior to the 2000 election to make Dubya look bad to the nation.

I still have a Texas emission control sticker on my truck from 7-8 years ago. I was one of the very few who was ever inspected the last time this was implemented. (I left the state right after I was inspected)

The emissions test is silly as is the 55 MPH speed limit. I moved out of Harris county several years ago because the people running Houston (Lee Brown) are morons as are the people running Harris County. They have no respect for a dollar.

Lee Brown and his crew have been and are taking everything that's not nailed down. They are like locusts. And they will soon be looking for the next field to strip. Since Lee Brown is term limited. If he comes to your town - Beware!

Tejas Testing failed miserably, as it should have. Next the Enviro-Nazis forced it in with the yearly saftey inspection. The failure rate was too low(4%) so instead of admitting that the test wasn't needed, TrainWreck(TNRCC) has decided to cut the standards in half and test for NOx on a $40K treadmill system at each station, of which there will be 75% fewer of...get ready for long waits in the summer heat Houston and Dallas.

They project the failure rate of this new testing will be 12% which proves that they are needlessly testing 88% of the cars, and raping the majority of the people to catch a minority of violators.

THIS SHOULD NOT STAND! NOT IN TEXAS! NOT IN AMERICA!

Does no good, other than making you feel better. I've been watching the numbers go up, then correct for multiple votes. It's about to break to 75%, just a couple more should do it.

Prolly should include all Texans in the FReep since it will eventually swallow them up as well...just a matter of time...9 or 10 counties a year.

Might as well fight it now when it's easy to stop then after they get it rolling with a full head of steam.

That seems about right because the $12.50 saftey inspection was included in it.

This one, if you can get it is going to cost $39.50, in the 5 counties that come under it this year, 2 of which are going from no testing to this farce.

Lets get this goron nonsense stopped before it spreads like cancer all over the Lone Star.

Gee, it's nice of Channel 2 to ask this question after the new testing is already implemented.

I expect there will be more folks upset the last week of May, when 90% of folks will go in for their inspection, and find they a new hoop to jump through.

Yep, especially in Denton and Collin counties...went from a saftey only inspection to an ASM/OBDII one...$12.50-$39.50...talk about sticker shock, plus it's going to be hard to find a station with the new equipment for a while.

The public is fixing to find out why the inspectors have been calling TNRCC TrainReck for years.

More than one hoop has been added.

Houston went from over 1000 inspection stations to under 300, and of those more than half are limited to the On Board Diagnostic II testing and can only do 100 cars per month. My Dad who still lives in town, got a letter showing just 2 ASM2 testing stations in his area. Neither station was close, I think he said 15 miles or more away.

No real numbers are available for ASM/OBD stations and lots of stations are still waiting for the new equipment and upgrades to the test software.
