Isn't this "mental illness" defense thing wearing a little thin?
Hey, I'd like to listen on the phone while he's executed...

He's operating with a severe mental illness that causes him to act completely different than a normal person."And by virtue of the fact that he killed his two daughters, he acts comepletely different from the hundreds of thousand of Americans who suffer from manic depression.

I don't suppose they draw and quarter in Texas...

I don't know why it took them so long. It only took 20 minutes for them to find him guilty.

Correction. I think it was 2 hours. Sorry 'bout that!!

The bi-polar thing threw 'em for a loop. They finally figured it out......

I only wish Texas law provided for immediate execution after sentencing is passed. As it is we will have to support this lowlife for the next ten years while he runs through his appeals. Hopefully he will spend that time having nightmares about the inevitable day his IV is hooked up.

Nope. You were right. First reported as 20 minutes.....later corrected to 19 minutes to find guilt! :O)

In Texas, they run the appeals and as long as there's nothing "extenuating", it goes through.
MUCH faster than in other, a-hem!, more liberal states......
As an example, the John Paul Penry case, a definite case of mental retardation, that has gone on for 20+ years....

I've often thought that erecting a gallows on the courthouse lawn would be an excellent deterrent to crime. Each one could have the motto
pour encourager les autres inscribed on the crossbar. The law might require that a photo of the hanging be printed on the front page of the next morning's news, with the details of the crime and the simple caption "Texas Justice" printed beneath it.
Oh, but that would be barbaric, wouldn't it?
I hate to see any man die, but for what he did, he deserves it. I hope he has time to sincerely repent before his death.
God bless the souls of his murdered children, and God help us all.

He was never mentally ill. He knew what he was doing and that what he was doing was wrong. Hence, he should hang.

LOL! Can't accuse us of being liberal. Wondering if Al Gore, Bianca Jagger, Susan Sarandon, et al., will be outraged when this creep gets his. Surely their strong opposition to Texas justice wasn't just a passing fancy. I would be ever so disappointed.
