I don't associate "thong" with "sex". I see thongs as another type of underwear - nothing more, nothing less - an option. It's people such as yourself that have attached to thongs some sort of "naughty" conotation, and therefore deem them inappropriate. Underware serves a function, and if my future daughter wants to have a full back on her underwear or not, I'm going to let her decide.

I am conflicted about this report. On the one hand, I am horrified that they were lifting the girl's skirts to check their underwear, and on the other hand, I understand why they might not be the best attire under a short skirt!

but that is just common sense! there is a big difference between your fiancee, me, or any other grown woman wearing a thong wherever we please, and high school girls wearing them to a school dance.
