Doug Donovan, 04.23.02, 5:30 PM ET

NEW YORK - A decade has passed since the Yugo was last imported to the United States.

The much-ridiculed discount automobile was discontinued in the U.S. in 1992, but has forever remained an American icon of all things cheap.

Now, the Yugo is back.

"I did get it up to 90 mph one time. Never again."

I'm glad you survived, the only way to get a Yugo up to 90 mph is to drive it off a high enough bridge.:^|

Yeah, why do Yugos have rear window defrosters?

So your hands stay warm while your pushing it.

I remember pulling into the parking lot at the mountain to go skiing. We took 5 minutes or so to collect our things. The Yugo parked in front of us had it's horn blasting. The owner had pushed the driver seat into the steering whell to remove back seat contents, it hit the horn, and it couldn not be disingaged. It was very amusing.

Actually it was on a piece of highway on my way home. I entered the highway (On a uphill entrance ramp) and just kept my foot down. At 90, I couldn't hear my radio anymore (turned up ALL the way), and the car started shaking a little. I laughed all the way home, not believing those POJ's could ever get that fast.

"Drowning Mona", (2000).

We just saw that movie a couple of weeks ago. It was FUNNY! I'd never seen that many Yugos in my life.

My hunting buddies would laugh me out of the woods if I showed up with a Yugo truck.

Are these going to fly off the Mackinac Bridge like the last ones? No joke. A Yugo once hit a wind gust and was blown off the bridge.

I am buying one as soon as it's available!

Anyway, I have three Yugo 45s - we have had them for 11, 13, 14 years respectively. Never been to the mechanic's - not once. Awesome cars. Have driven them to hell and back. I don't know what kind of Yugos you people are talking about. Mine kick ass.

Anyway, I have three Yugo 45s. . .

OK, I believe you. Just be sure you warn everyone near you on the range before you actually load them with live ammo LOL.

Reminds me of the KIA I see once a week on the highway in-bound to work. It is plastered with metallic signs proclaiming that KIAs are the biggest lemons (and so forth). Obviously a satisfied customer (/sarcasm).
