I guess federal land grabs are bipartisan. (duh)

"While I share concerns about the way in which these monuments were created, it's our job now to see that we develop land-use plans in an open, inclusive and comprehensive way," Interior Secretary Gale Norton said Wednesday.
"Since the Klintons already beat and raped the victim, we might as well strangle her." The Bush administration said Wednesday.

Frankly...they should make the entire leftist state of Oregon a national monument.

Can someone please explain why it makes any difference whether you call yourself a Democrat or Republican? The policies are identical.

Will the real Bush administration please stand up? This is BS! Sure, Bush will treat us better than the land-grabbing enviro-commies democraps will - but pubbies won't be president forever...

I predict Bush will let Clinton's roadless area protection stand too. In any event, this decision shows which way the wind blows on these issues.

Bush can suck up to the watermelons (green on the outside, red on the inside) all he wants, they won't vote for him. Meanwhile, he's pissing off his base. He must think we don't have anywhere to go.

I agree, though I don't see anything to do about it.
The USFS destroyed a Forest Service road near my childhood home that I spent many enjoyable hours traveling, both on foot and in/on various vehicles. I'll never be the same after I saw those bulldozers.

This pdf file found at the Wilderness Society's webpage is a collection of comments made by various enviros about the subject.

Thanks for the link. The comments make my point perfectly. Bush gets no credit from them for this and he just irritates his base. Go figure.

There is one rule that governs all bureaucracies no matter who is in charge: EXPAND and PROTECT

This sucks big time!! What the H is wrong with this admin.? This makes me sick to my stomach.
You know those bracelets some people wear that say WWJD? Well, mine says WWRD. What would Reagan do. I know for certain he would not have let this stand.
Man, I am MAD!
