DENVER (AP) -- Linda Boreman, who starred as Linda Lovelace in the 1972 pornographic film ``Deep Throat'' and later became an anti-porn advocate, died Monday from injuries she suffered in a car crash. She was 53.
Boreman was taken to Denver Health Medical Center with massive trauma and internal injures after the April 3 accident, hospital spokeswoman Sara Spaulding said. She was taken off life support Monday, Spaulding said.
Boreman's ex-husband, Larry Marchiano, said he and their two adult children were at the hospital when she died.
``Everyone might know her as something else, but we knew her as mom and as Linda,'' Marchiano said. ``We divorced five years ago, but she was still my best friend.''

When I was about 7 or 8 my uncle Benny had bar-b-que at his house. I spilled on my shirt...so he loaned me one of his. It said "I choked Linda Lovelace" I didn't get why people were laughing until many years later.

Gone but not forgotten.
Especially not forgotten was getting busted by an irate usher after sneaking past a sleeping ticket seller at an all-night Pussycat theater at the tender age of 16.

who starred as Linda Lovelace in the 1972 pornographic film ``Deep Throat'' Adult film trivia fans will know that this wasn't her ONLY adult film.
She appeared in one film where the leading male looked suspiciously like Rin Tin Tin. (I am NOT making this up!)

Trivia Question: What multinational conglomerate had to remove her face from the front of a detergent box after she branched out into other forms of "modeling."

,,, friendly pup wasn't he? It took a while, but by the end of the film they appeared to be "best of friends."

After her career in porn, Lovelace broke away from that, and she wrote a book "Ordeal." In this she claimed that she had been forced into the sex industry by her violent husband, and had endured every sort of abuse. Some people with knowledge of him did support these claims - but others denied it.

What multinational conglomerate had to remove her face from the front of a detergent box after she branched out into other forms of "modeling." You are confusing LL with the gal who did "Behind the Green Door". She was the former Ivory Snow girl.....

Marilyn Chambers was the Ivory Snow girl.

I remember that controversy. I think the general consensus was that her book was a bunch of horse puckey.
She certainly made the most of her fame while she could.
It wasn't until she started looking less than ravishing that she decided to turn over a new leaf.
