Senator Barbara Boxer arrived in Cuba

Another group of domestic enemies arrived in Havana looking to save Castro (ADM lackeys)

HAVANA (AP) - Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer arrived in Cuba on a fact-finding mission accompanied by a diverse delegation that includes a Grateful Dead drummer, a British actress and U.S. agricultural representatives.

The trip is sponsored by the Center for International Policy, a Washington-based lefty organization.

Boxer, who arrived Friday, serves on the Foreign Relations Committee, a fact that will not be lost on Cuban officials who have been lobbying lawmakers for help in easing U.S. policies toward the island, especially the 40-year-old trade embargo and restrictions on American travel.

U.S. agribusiness has been pressing for legislative changes that would allow Cuba to use American financing to buy their products under a 2-year-old law that allows direct sales of American food to the communist island for the first time in nearly four decades.

Boxer's state, California, grows more than half of the fruits and vegetables consumed in America.

Also along for the trip that wraps up on Monday are Mickey Hart, drummer for the Grateful Dead; British actress Julia Ormond, and Bill Mattos, president of the California Poultry Federation. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

RCB comments: This democratic system is jeopardized by many enemies walking among us. If the socialists win, our system will fall because of injustice. The anti-war demonstrators during Viet-Nam are our Enron, Andersen, Kirkland & Ellis, Vinson Elkins, DOJ, corrupt corporations, and the socialist media today. Get ready because they are coming for us. Destroy a persons personnal wealth and make them a ward of the state and you need not fire a shot. Come for me and bring your own body bag. AMERICA WAKE UP. IT IS LATER THAN YOU THINK.

Ironically, Bush's embargo is working to the advantage of the Boxers and Castros.

Flaming free market capitalists like me can't go legally.

But Castro really likes the Boxers and the federal expense account checks.

If I go and spend greenbacks with the underground free market, I get hassled by U.S.A. INS/Customs/StateDept upon return.

Damn, all I did was spend money, drink, eat, dance, sleep, and do that all over again, and leave a copy or two of Goldwater and Rand and our Constitution.

kj
I'll always be on an INS list.........

You're nicer than I am. I was wondering where the airplane-hijacking terrorists are when you really need them.

As always, the Democrats travel in good company; in this case, just not sure whose.

Imagine, if Algore were Prez. . .

I'd be willing to negotiate an end to the embargo, if they keep her... I mean, it couldn't hurt to at least discuss it, right????

Hasn't the Bush admin been busting American tourists to Cuba and fining them $7500? Just because Boxer is a congresswoman, she won't be cuffed when she returns to the U.S.?

Well ... hopefully - next election - she will have plenty of time to travel to Cuba - but at her own expense instead of mine.

Sounds like they have exported at least one nut.

HAVANA (AP) - Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer arrived in Cuba on a fact-finding mission accompanied by a diverse delegation that includes a Grateful Dead drummer, a British actress and U.S. agricultural representatives.

The rats like to travel with a menagerie of misfits, perverts, and thieves.

One fact I'm sure they won't be relating is that they are a bunch of communist sypathizers who are a real threat to the safety and security of the USA.

They have no business dealing with the thief and murderer Fidel Castro, and their presence there is a slap in the face to freedom loving people all over this nation.

They admire the way Casthole stole all of the land and businesses from the right wing in Cuba, and are probably seeking advice on how to accomplish the same here.
