"We used to take those kids out to a telephone poll, tie them to it, and start a little fire around their feet."I wouldn't try that right now with Willie. He's still upset about all these layoff things.

Well, I agree with you that you should know why you were banned and if it is temporary or permanent. I hope JimRob writes you a brief explanation soonest.
I did skim some of your posts on that thread going back and forth with Bob J, but I'm not a detail guy so I can't answer your question. I don't want to take a half-baked issue (from my own lack of knowledge) to FAB....hey, you blew my cover!
Best wishes on your Bermuda trip.
Yeah that Black Jade thread disappeared, I'm afraid this one is next.

ah yes...brings back ole memories of conspiracy 101 classes...and the secret mole that knew it all but would only divulge bits and pieces.

A+Bert is currently making out with Arafat.

I'm sorry, having struggled through many of A+Bert's posts, one would be hard pressed to call thme "enlightened" His views could be summarized as: "Israel is bad. Jews are biased. Shahids or homicide bombers are misunderstood, and America's support for that little democracy, Israel, that oasis of prosperity surrounded by a barren spiritual and cultural wasteland is misguided." Bert was banned because he couldn't disagree without being disagreeable. It's one thing to make a point, and quite another to threaten other posters. 4 posted on 4/13/02 8:03 AM Central by Mr.Smorch
Or, as they say outside of FR, he'd been around too long. There seems to be a thing about FR from what I've read elsewhere. If you've been outspoken for a good while, the "Lords" begin to take notice of you. Anyone who develops a following no matter the motivation is not allowed to remain a member of FR. It seems that if someone begins to be too popular, that person is soon removed.

Fred,
Considering that BobJ has nothing to do with FreeRepublic.com operations (as he has said on many occasion) I see no reason to page him to this thread. I would think the above gentleman would be the applicable individual...no?
Cordially,

There was another guy banned in 99 or 00. He kept coming back under different names and got caught. The most common insult of the day was to call the poster that guys name. I can't remember what it was.

Yeah, but ol' Bert sure could take the wind out of the sails of some of the self-righteous posters that we have here. He had been around the block a few times and let you know it in no uncertain terms.
To: Idiot Croissant
Sorry about my last post. I didn't realize that your other FR name had gotten nuked. My bad.

"...an attempt to learn why I was banned. So far I have been ignored." When I've been banned, a private FReepMail to JimRob usually got me the explanation I sought. Good Luck...MUD

Don't be too disagreeable! Shhhhhh!

"Who or what is Quidam?" Somebody once told me Quidam was Matt Drudge, but I never got confirmation and never really knew Quidam anyway...MUD
