I remember sitting at the USO Special Services building at the 90th Repl Depot in Bien Hoa and listening on a tape to some of the songs we're playing today.
The feeling of utter loneliness and the ache in my heart for the people I missed was pushed away for a while by the memories those songs brought.
Many of us at the Canteen have been there, and believe me, we know what's it like.
We also know what it's like to be ignored and un-appreciated.
That's not going happen again.

I've told Tonkin and the other Vietnam vets around here that I am so sorry that I was born during Vietnam and was too young to show my respect, but I sure would have...It makes me so angry to hear how shabbily you were treated by some. My deepest respect and thanks to all who served! Thank you! GG
