WASHINGTON (AP) -- The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee says he won't block legislation to award the Presidential Medal of Valor to New York City firefighters and police officers who died Sept. 11.

Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., said Friday he still has concerns that procedures for choosing recipients were not followed but will allow the committee to consider the measure.

If it weren't for Jeffords, this wouldn't even be an issue.

Amen. Mighty nice of that obstructionist tinpot dictator, who only holds his job due to the lies and perfidy of a turncoat, to allow medals of valor to be awarded to men so much better than himself than he isn't worthy to lick their boots clean.

Aaaamen to what you said. Can anyone visualize this creep as helping to save another, even if wouldn't put his life in danger?

How grateful we should be that one of our elite Democrat overlords has chosen to descend from his throne for a brief moment in order to bestow these blessing upon us; the little people.

With Jeffords and Leahy I really wonder about the majority of Vermonters. Imagine a back-stabbing turncoat, and one who tells classified material to reporters. Impeach them both, coat them with syrup and run them outta town.

Boy he sure is!

I watched Leahy backtrack on his nasty 'following the rules' crap regarding the medals...he looked as vile and evil and he really is. It was a beautiful exposure of a really bad man (imho).

Rep. Joseph Crowley, D-N.Y., who lost a firefighter cousin on Sept. 11, sponsored the House legislation.

Rep. Crowley's cousin was John Moran, aka Freeper BCM. His body has not been revovered yet.
