I have to admit, the look in his eyes is pretty pitiful.

Actually the guy was not all bad. I think he's a little nuts but hell being in Washington for a week does that. I guess he made the criminal buttwipes that he was exposing finally were able to start up a steam roller to run over him.

I will miss him too. He is one of a kind, and I will miss hearing his colorful stories!
The look on his face is really heartbreaking.

I would be interested in studying some of the Organized Crime structure in Ohio, where Traficant is from. He was allegedly connected to the mob at one time too, although that is questionable.

All you knee-jerk Dem haters, GOP-cheerleader types listen up.
This guy was probably guilty, but mostly guilty of hanging with a group of people he was doing favors with that weren't quite as sophisticated as the normal lobbyist types on the Hill.
Traficant did more than give great speeches. He introduced and was largely responsible for getting the law passed that blaced the burden of proof in tax cases onto the IRS, instead of the citizen.
Remember that, in your glee for seeing him sent to the gallows. There are a LOT worse bandits in the beltway than this guy.

You need to werk on yer spellin'.
It should be: "We wuz set up!"

It is heartbreaking and even pitiful, but it is more likely than not, the look of a man that thought the little crimes in life weren't a big deal.

I know where you're coming from. I was wishing him luck and wonder who he POd.
But, this is a humor thread and serious replies don't count.

Law Enforcement Discretion is not the answer in solving the problems of Jim Traficant. I liked the guy too, at least his one-minute speeches, but if he broke the law, he should do the time.
