Wonderful article, very insightful. VD's earlier books on farming are also well worth reading. Unfortunately he has become convinced that war is the mother of all things and that he is a great military strategist. He's better about what he knows first hand.

Our favorite practical joke was to shout,"Alto! La frontera patrulla!" (Halt!
