LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- A handful of die-hard "Star Wars" fans already have started lining up to see the next movie in the sci-fi saga -- more than a month before it opens.
"We're just really persistent people," said Luis Lecca, a martial arts instructor who has spent eight hours a day waiting and braving hecklers. "We see something we want to do and we do it."

Wish I had that kind of free time to sit around and wait for a crappy film to come out.

"It's just fun sitting on Hollywood Boulevard watching the freaks and the tourists walk by." Um, unless this guy has a mirror near him, he'll be missing the real freaks.

Waiting in line for one of the biggest movies this year. Hardly would I say they need to get a life. Its gonna be a fantastic movie.

Three words make your prediction unlikely: JAR JAR RETURNS

What, they're waiting for Lord of the Rings? ....Oh wait, you meant that Star Wars movie. Biggest movie of the year? Biggest disappointment, most likely. I'm still mad about that whole "Phantom Menace" thing, and playing trailers that look like they're remaking Titanic is not the way to convince me to spend money on their film.

"We're already talking about (a line in) 2005 for 'Episode III,"' he said. Not only do these people not have a life now, they know they wont have one in three years!
To: KantianBurke
I'm surprised they're forsaking the luxuries of living in their parents' basement for this.

Seriously. I'll probably take my son to see Star Wars - I'll never hear the end of it if I don't - but I'm rather looking forward to the next installment of LOTR myself. I'm probably the last person in the country to see the first one, since I only went to see it last week ;)
To: KantianBurke
There's a great idea - sit packed like sardines in a completely-full theater, sold out to a pack of fat geeks who haven't been near a hot shower in weeks.
Good plan.

Isn't it amusing how some people can get so excited over a movie?

playing trailers that look like they're remaking Titanic is not the way to convince me to spend money on their film. You just don't get it, do you. Sure, it's like Titanic--but this is Titanic in space!!!
Sheesh.
To: Samwise
LOL! Who? Us? :D
To: BibChr
No kidding, these guys have their priorities all screwed up... - silly.
Tickets for The Two Towers go on sale in 245 days...

I mean, what do they think this is -- THE TWO TOWERSSeriously. You seen the new trailer for that thing? Wow. I'm going to be buying advance tickets for sure. Planning on seeing FOTR one more time on Friday, too.
