F****** Jews: Confronting Anti-Semitism in the West (Vanity)

F****** Jews! - A comment I heard in the steam room at the gym today.

A Middle Eastern man's rant against the Jews controlling America or running Washington.

It's worrisome how the conflict in the Middle East is showing signs of being transported to North America. Not ONE listener in the steamroom aside from me had the guts to confront the man and defend Israel's right to exist. The Jews are the bad ones, they stole Arab land, the land was never theirs in the past. They suck the blood out of the world.

It is scary witnessing the rabid hostility of the Islamist Arabs against the Jews and those who defend them. This man was besides himself when I merely repeated the undeniable fact that particular land belonged to the Jews. He demanded, "Would you want strangers to come and kick you out of your home?" To which I replied, "No, but would you tolerate a squatter occupying your home while you were away?" He then stormed out and one witness, a nice Sikh gentleman said, I'd better watch out for my safety, because of the Muslims' tendency of resorting to violence.

What in the world does a conflict half-way around the world have to do with this Arab man in Vancouver Canada? Does he give a rat's patootie about the welfare of his fellow-Muslims living in squalor in Egypt? Could he care less how many Muslim Kurds Saddam gasses this week? Does the living conditions of the Palestinians in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan get his blood boiling? Probably not. Why then the fury against Israel?

Benjamin Netanyahu is right. What goes on in Israel today is a prelude of things to come unless it gets nipped in the bud. Sadly, Islam itself doesn't allow tolerance and freedom to flourish whenever it takes root. One merely needs to point to any one of the 50 or so Muslim nations to see this sad truth. Europe is well on its way to becoming Islamic states within 30-50 years due to demographic changes. They need to look to Yugoslavia to see where they're going to be when their Islamic populations approach 20%. By then, it'll be too late.

Sept 11 was the opening shots of WWIII between Islam and the West. While we're pretending it isn't; those that seek our destruction continue to come into our land. Why has Saudi Arabia spent hundreds of billions of dollars funding Islamic schools, centers and mosques in the West, while their own standard of living is now a mere 1/3 of what it was a few decades ago?

Regardless, Muslims the world over have underestimated America. They thought America was weak and decadent, that it is on the verge of collapsing like the old Soviet Union, that its citizens don't have the stomach for casualties. Sept 11 has shown the old American backbone still exists and when aroused, it's fury knows no bounds.

Americans are the most charitable and vengeful of any nation. Who else would bomb a nation back into the stone age for killing a few hundred or a few thousand Americans but then give billions of aid in reconstruction?

Even today, the US psyche is such that it will singlehandedly and ruthlessly destroy those it percieves as threatening it with destruction regardless of the protestations and feeble bleatings of others. It remains to be seen if it acts quickly to prevent genocidal attacks against it.

Based on my observations, I think the US leadership is stumbling and paying too much heed to the opinion of others. This tendency to multilateralism with those seeking its destruction as well as refusal to consider racial profiling or admit we are facing a religious war is going to have horrible consequences. I have no doubt an incident a hundred times worse than 9-11 is going to happen which will shock the US out of this delusion, but then will respond accordingly.

There are now thousands and perhaps hundreds of thousands of fifth column sleepers within the US. Instead of realizing the foolishness of letting rattlesnakes have free roam over one's house; many Americans think their IDEAL of religious equality is more important than their countrymen's safety. If it's a PRINCIPLE fine, but it's not - it's an IDEAL since they are not willing to die or let their children die just for religious equality.

I pray for the success and survival of the United States and would gladly give my life to preserve her - oh, BTW, I'm NOT an American - I'm a Canadian!

Yeah, but do they have the tendancy to win the fights they get into? That's the rub, isn't it?

Dateline, Los Altos Hills CA, an Eastern Orthodox church attended by Syrians, Lebanese and Jordanians is torched. Dateline Berkeley CA, campus riots are narrowly averted when a Holocaust Rememberance runs into the now nearly resident "Palestinian" (an oxymoron) demonstration. We are seeing the first hints of the battle here in "tolerant" San Francisco. The next time you see a swastika or a temple being attacked, don't think native NAZIs, think world wide anti-Judeo-Christian Jihad. Of course, both groups are increasingly in bed with each other....

I agree. How can we have a war on terrorism, and then castigate Israel for defending itself? We would never tolerate these suicide bombings.

Recently a friend gave me a copy of the March, 2002 edition of 'Outpost' which is published by Americans for a Safe Israel.

Website: Click Here

There is a front page commentary entitled 'Buffer Zones' where Herbet Zweibon rips Ariel Sharon apart because, up until March, 2002, Israel had not engaged the Palestinians with military action. Up until recently, Sharon was advocating 'making buffer zones' to keep terrorists away from Israelis. Obviously, Sharon was being pressured by the Jewish community to go to war against the P.A., Arafat and his terrorists.

I just told a friend about this commentary. We agreed that it looks like Sharon was pressured into military attacks, which also explains why there was a 12 hour Cabinet Meeting before Sharon kicked off his attacks. Sharon was being ripped apart at home because he would not attack Muslim terrorists, was being called 'The Godfather of Palestinian Statehood' ....

Tell the Muslims you meet in the steam room to shut their 'pie holes' and go back to the desert.

F... the Muslims anyway.

Here is a copy of the article in question:

"Buffer Zones"?

Herbert Zweibon

Knesset member Michael Kleiner of the Herut Party has described Ariel Sharon as "the Balfour of the Palestinians" -- that is, the political godfather of Palestinian statehood. A year or two ago, such a description would have been regarded as absurd. Today it is coming true.

As terrorism raged and a demoralized public searched desperately for leadership, Sharon announced that he would make a major address to the nation on February 21, outlining his plan for achieving national security. The public waited anxiously for his words.

The speech was a bitter disappointment. Sharon sounded like a spokesman for the State Department, calling on Israel to respond to the incessant terror by being "calm, reasonable, and restrained." Worse still, the speech revealed Sharon had no plan, as he echoed the same contradictory themes he had offered for many months. He declared, "We will continue to fight terrorism and terrorists with all our might and will intensify our activities." (However, in the real world Sharon promptly retreated further, promising Israel will halt its bombings and targeted killings.) Then, after reiterating he would do all in his power "to bring an end to violence and terrorism," Sharon said he would "continue to meet with Palestinian officials." What is that if not a violation of his constantly reiterated pledge not to negotiate under fire? The goal was the same old Peres-style pie in the sky. A "ceasefire" to followed by "painful compromises" by Israel "for the sake of real peace."

The only new element in the speech was the promise of "marking buffer zones and placing obstacles along them" to achieve "security separation." While Sharon gave no clue as to what this meant, columnist William Safire has since reported Sharon plans to create two mile strips of land with mobile patrols alerted by electronic sensors. Aaron Lerner of Independent Media Review and Analysis is surely right in what he fears: that these zones are merely a stopgap measure to make the PA's war of attrition more palatable to the Israeli public. In fact, Sharon's proposal is a variation of the notion of building "A Wall" around the state and the objections AFSI offered to the Wall apply equally to "buffer zones." We quote from the September-October 2001 Outpost (simply substitute "buffer zone" for "wall"): "As Prof. Steven Plaut points out, no wall will prevent incursions by terrorists, who will 'dig under, run around, sail around, and shoot over even the strongest wall,' while the areas beyond the Wall will be 'the familiar PLO Nazi-style training grounds and launching points.' And what about Israel's large Arab citizenry within the Wall (even were it to follow the 1949 borders), much of it already an active fifth column?....Michael Ledeen reminds us of George Patton's observation that defensive fortifications are a monument to human stupidity, as centuries of shattered barricades, trenches, moats, and walls testify."

Tourism Minister Benny Elon says that Sharon rejects the advice of cabinet members like himself who urge that the PA be dismantled, comparing this to the bad counsel to Absalom of Achitophel. Sharon would do better to hearken to the words of Ezekiel: "They have led my people astray, saying: Peace, and there is no peace; and when he builds up a partition, behold, they daub it with whited plaster...and when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you: Where is the daubing with which you have daubed it?...The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it." (Ezekiel 13:10-15)

Walls, buffer zones, electronic fences (behind these, in Lebanon, the Hezbollah has even now installed Iranian Fajr-5 missiles capable of reaching the suburbs of Haifa) are worse than useless, providing the illusion of increased security while doing nothing in the long run to improve public safety. There is no answer but the one which Israelis know in their hearts -- however reluctant they may be to accept it -- is inevitable. That is the military destruction of the Palestinian Authority, the explulsion of all terrorists and those who help them, and Israeli sovereignty over Judea, Samaria and Gaza.

Herbert Zweibon is chairman of Americans For a Safe Israel.

Horowitz and Goldberg (both elsewhere here just now) both have interesting analysis of causes.

You might read them for further calibration of your statement "The Jews are the bad ones....."

IMHO, I cannot ascribe any monolithic political, cultural, religious attribute to whatever are called "Jews" or "Islams".

Heck, some 'muricans hate canucks and vice versa. Some Americans like me don't consider Canadians as neighbors, we're family, which means we're more protective and loving when the chips are down, but we probably have loud squabbles like any family.
I was in a bar in Arizona when the ice skating exhibition from Alberta was on, and when those two who had the experience in Salt Lake City came on, the whole damn bar cheered I can't spell their names Saile and Pelletier, cheered a lot lowder than for anyone!

I do personally know of American Islams who are absolutely repulsed by the 9/11 hijackers. I know Jews who are ashamed of the anti-Muslim hatred in the U.S.A. I know of Arizonan Jewish kids who play on the same soccer team with Arizonan Muslim kids....they get along OK until they had to play a California team and then it was Arizona against California, us versus them, we are one, we will win, and those California kids are blow-dry blonde geeks! Sure hope our kids don't play Canadians!

I don't have a solution other than I try not to get miffed about a group. I get miffed with individual actions. This Atta guy, I have little fondness for him. Was he a real Muslim? Not if he was drunk in a titty bar!

Peace.

Not yet. But very soon suicide bombers will hit the US. Then see how attitudes change. And gun sales soar.

So? This is news? We Jews have been getting that rap for 4,500 years. And 4,500 years from now we Jews will still be here. "Muslims" will be an archaic word, known only to anthropologists.

I agree with you on all you posted and I also fear another incident much worse than 9/11 will occur. At times I have a feeling that Bush and others fear this as well and are simply hoping that the FBI, CIA, INS, etc. will catch the bad guys before they can detonate a mini-nuke or launch deadly microbes into the air of a few major cities. Until or unless that time our liberal media and the liberal politicians will continue to insist on "tolerance". Subsequent to such an event I would not be surprised to see Arabs being shot on sight in certain parts of the U.S.

IMHO anti-Muslim feeling in the U.S. is about to erupt into shootings and attacks on community centers and places of worship. All it would take is one suicide bomber in one small mall anywhere in the U.S.

However, I also believe al Quaida or Hezbola may soon dump biological poison into a city water supply or let loose with a biological weapon in a major city. Watch the bloodshed erupt when that happens .....

Edward, this is my concern too. We have allowed many people to immigrate here who lust after our economy, but who bring their anti-American attitudes here and their plans to remake America in their image. We are crazy to admit these people and allow them to become citizens.

"Based on my observations, I think the US leadership is stumbling and paying too much heed to the opinion of others."

This is how they developed that perception of weakness in the first place. Second, this futzing around, making an exception for Palestinian terrorism, only encourages the rabid ankle-biters. The protests over the past week are a result of the futzing around. A 100% backing of Israel against the terrorist, would bring folks to our side, quiet the leftwing anti-Semites / Anti-Americans and let the Palies know that they can NOT win through violence. We ought to be giving the Palies an ultimatum, not coming out for a Palie State. Bush did this back in September and made a huge mistake, huge.
