Why can't we do that here in the US?

American journalists will not be pleased with this story, since all journalists are sacred, special, wonderful people. I expect the coverage of Israel here will become much more hostile.

Why can't we do that here in the US? Believe me, people are trying. Remember how the FBI kept reporters so far away from WACO they could barely see the buildings through a high-powered lens? It's also the reason so many foreign governments (and private organizations too) are trying to limit what we can see or read on the Internet. No government likes freedrom of information. It makes them too accountable.

Seems like Sharon and the Israeli military aren't too fond of journalists on the Palestinian side.

I wonder, hmmm, what would Palestinian "soldiers" do if they raided Israeli newsrooms? Mess up the furniture a bit, take the mobile phones, or, gasp, make them lie on the floor? OR ... maybe something much worse? Would there be any newsmen left to tell the story?
Israel is acting prudently here in a time of war, doing something which all civilized nations do in a time of war. Let's not get hysterical.

Why can't we do that here in the US? At least just to the leftist press.

It's obvious that Israel believes that a PR game with the media is a waste of time. Their heavy handed approach to the journalists is a sign that Israel regards them as unreachable and biased against them, and that there is no point in trying to placate or appease them.

About TIME!!! The only shame is that it took them more than 20 years to figure it out. All the wasted time!

What's the story here? Any innocents hurt? Don't think so. What's the point in article except to inflame pro-Palis.
