LITTLE ROCK - The nation may struggle to reconcile the prosperity of the Clinton years with the 42d president's seamier side, but for Little Rock, they are one and the same.
Construction is set to begin here on the $110 million William J. Clinton Presidential Center and Park. Far from trying to cover up the unsavory moments of the Clinton administration, city leaders call them the library's main selling point and a key to the city's future.

I'm sure you get porn on the internet in that library.
Probably in the stacks as well.

I wouldn't be surprised! They'll go with their strengths.

"The controversy will make our library much more interesting, much more attractive," said Skip Rutherford, a local advertising executive and professional Friend of Bill who has been Clinton's local point man on the library. Klintoon is a dirt-bag product of a dirt-bag culture. QED.

Followed by..... "Moreover, Clinton plans to use his library as a public policy center, like Jimmy Carter uses his Carter Center in Atlanta, and that would have the incalculable benefit of bringing world leaders, politicians and academics to Little Rock, he said."
I see them flocking there now.

Soon after, the Heifer Project, an international relief organization, said it would build a $30 million headquarters next door. Hillary just can't stand to be outdone.

So, in the spring of 1998, the city board of directors authorized revenue bonds, to be paid back from park revenue, and prepared to condemn the dilapidated warehouses on the library site under a law allowing a city to take property for parks and other public purposes.
So the taxpayers of Arkansas are to be stuck footing the bill for Clinton's monument to himself. I hope the local Freeper chapter can rent a billboard across the street to protest 365 days a year.

This will be the first public library to rent reading booths by the quarter hour and charge extra for sheets.

Maybe some of her moo-moos will be on display.

Hurry, I bet the library committee could use some of your suggestions for their offical brochure.

There weren't many takers for the "honor" of housing bill's library. Looks like Bill got the old heave-ho from Georgetown.
10-03-20 (U-WIRE) WASHINGTON -- The White House is denying published reports in The New York Times that President William Jefferson Clinton (SFS '68) is considering building his presidential library on the campus of Georgetown University.

This article strikes me as a press release from Clinton's PR firm, the latest focus-group tested spin. Weren't there recently articles about how the library was going to go out of its way to avoid reference to the scandals? Yet here's Skip Rutherford with a stupid marketing grim claiming how potholes add interest to the driving 'experience'. And when did the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette turn anti-Clinton? Haven't been there in awhile, but so many tidbits like that in the article have my BS meter going off.
"Up, up and away, in my beautiful, my beautiful trial balloon."

Maybe it was pushed by the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce to get rentors to fill all that office space going up next to the Clinton public disgrace.

"So the taxpayers of Arkansas are to be stuck footing the bill for Clinton's monument to himself. I hope the local Freeper chapter can rent a billboard across the street to protest 365 days a year." Not a bad idea at all. The Arkansas chapter is meeting this Saturday. I will bring it up. I personally consider the FReeping of Clinton's monument to decadence second only to our illegal immigration awareness afforts. Any Arkansas FReepers reading this for whom we have no email address or who do not subscribe to the state page, please contact me by FReepmail if you are interested in working on this as a project. We'd like to see as many of you as possible at the meeting this weekend to start making some plans.
