Daddy Bill Clinton took his daughter and her beau, the pride of Belvedere Ca., Ian Klaus, around the new Tate Modern Art Gallery in London last week.
Says a conviently placed Londoner to a London paper, 'President Clinton seemed comfortable with Ian and glad that his daughter found a decent man.'
The trio toured the galleries with the rest of the public, but with a security detail of 12
Bubba bought drinks for the young couple.
Chelsea and Ian, who met at a rally of students at Oxford post-9/11, are expected to announce their engagement by June
In case you are wondering, Klaus's parents, the eminent and respectable Robin and Patricia of Belvedere, are both longtime Democrats.

This is going to be a riot! These threads will probably be the funniest ones ever on FR. Can't wait until Registered puts his brain to work on this!

I wonder if Daddy Bill explained the art of knob shots to his daughter and prospective bridegroom? Geez, ya wonder ya know.

Well, now there's a thought; if she waits until AFTER November of 2004 to get married, then IF (God help us all) Hillary were to be elected, she could get married at the White House!

Actually don't find anything at
Open Secrets regarding Robin Klaus for 1992, 1996, 2000, 2002... so don't know if they gave enough to be reported.

It's going to be a very big wedding. One of the largest ever.
Actually, the original plans were for a small wedding but then Chelsea said "Oh, what the heck. Let's invite the half-brothers and sisters too."

Truth? You want truth?
Here's the truth:
Chelsea was left alone and above criticism for darn near 8 years. She was a-political, and therefore out of bounds.
Since the latter days of her father's presidency she has become increasingly involved in the public arena. She sat in on the last minute peace talks at Camp David. She wrote an article for Talk magazine about September 11 in which she brought up tax cuts as a problem for helping victims. She is seen with her father at almost every public appearance.
She is no longer a minor, and no longer apolitical. Therefore, her behavior is fair game.
As I said, if she has a low-key wedding I will say no more. But if this is going to be a big deal democrat extravaganza to assist the Rats and her mother, then she is deserving of criticism.
And if you don't like it, too bad.

"But if this is going to be a big deal democrat extravaganza to assist the Rats and her mother," Do these people know how to live any other way? If they do, I'd like to see them demonstrate it.
Let's not forget the way the 'clinton monarchy' paraded Chelsea around during the worst of the Lewinsky crisis.

I'm sure Chelsea's grades are being paid for...like at Stanford.
***President Clinton seemed comfortable with Ian and glad that his daughter found a decent man.***
If Ian *is* a decent young man then Chelsea sure didn't find a guy like dear old dad.

**My solution is to time it to the very last moment when the 'Toon is about to give his daughter away and then start dropping the kitchen sink on Baghdad-the look on Bubbas face will be priceless. **
I like your thinking. :o)

Maybe someone could buy them graduate degrees, as it is unlikely they'll actually earn them. How likely is it that the Oxford admins. will succumb to pressures to grant the Hilla(ry)Billy child and her "fiance" degrees when they don't deserve them? This will be interesting to watch.
To: seamole
And they'll name their first kid Santa.......
To: BoPepper
Are you saying that you do not know if posting a picture of two pigs and saying they are Ian and Chelsea is rude? You're right. I extend apologies to the pigs.
