Daddy Bill Clinton took his daughter and her beau, the pride of Belvedere Ca., Ian Klaus, around the new Tate Modern Art Gallery in London last week.
Says a conviently placed Londoner to a London paper, 'President Clinton seemed comfortable with Ian and glad that his daughter found a decent man.'
The trio toured the galleries with the rest of the public, but with a security detail of 12
Bubba bought drinks for the young couple.
Chelsea and Ian, who met at a rally of students at Oxford post-9/11, are expected to announce their engagement by June
In case you are wondering, Klaus's parents, the eminent and respectable Robin and Patricia of Belvedere, are both longtime Democrats.

Can we think of some engagement gifts for the happy couple?
Thanks to Mountaineer for bringing this to my attention..

Announcement in June? This must be the trial balloon for the pollsters.

Maybe someone could buy them graduate degrees, as it is unlikely they'll actually earn them.

I don't really know much about Chelsea, so I won't comment on her suitability as a wife.
But I really can't imagine a much worse fate than having Hillary as my mother-in-law (shudder).

I heard she will move back to Chappaqua, sponge off the Secret Service there, go partying in Vernon Jordan's apartment-get a glamorous make work job in Manhattan and then run for Congress in upstate NY.
All from Mommy's and Daddy's house of course in Chappaqua, while living in Manhattan..just like a Clinton

Why did you make "GOP Parents" a keyword?

Is Belvedere anywhere near Sarn Quentin? Could prove convenient in a few years.

Wow - it's hittin' the fan. Do the *Crintons know how much a wedding costs? Maybe *they can do it for free in the *Crinton liebary...

Is Alcatraz still in workable shape, Ian could go see his mother in law after her 'career' in the U.S. Senate comes to its inevitable end.
To: codebreaker
Would make sense, that would fit the RINO pattern of inconsistency and cluelessness.
To: Dog Gone
The sotry was that either Ian is a Republican or his parents used to be GOP backers..I guess the NY Post's page six will have to find that one out
To: codebreaker
I've posted it elsewhere, but according to the same SF Examiner columnist, the Klauses are Dems. It was one of the tabloids that reported they were conservatives.
To: Dog Gone
Nothing gets by you, does it?
To: mountaineer
Thanks, do we know if Ian is a lib or not?

I don't really know much about Chelsea, so I won't comment on her suitability as a wife. Who cares what Web Hubbell's daughter is really like.
