Thursday, April 4, 2002 Servicemen Furious at Coddling of Terrorists

American servicemen at Guantanamo Bay are so angry about the superior treatment given to the terrorist detainees that the military is sending in shrinks to try to prevent explosions of "inexplicable rage."

The al-Qaeda and Taliban fanatics at Camp X-Ray receive better treatment than the U.S. troops guarding and caring for them, despite all the whining from European and U.S. left-wingers, International Red Cross, United Nations and other blame-America-first types.

In fact, the Miami Herald reported today, the Muslim detainees:

"had two hot meals a day plus a cold lunch while the Marines and Army Military Police were eating field rations" from plastic packages.

enjoyed showers weeks earlier than the Americans, who had to make do with a garden hose.

scream at, spit on and hurl water at the servicemen, who are "working nearly nonstop."

"They did those atrocities to us, and we're treating them like royalty," fumed Marine Lance Cpl. Nathan Howell. "This has been a tough thing for some people to swallow emotionally," said Navy Cmdr. Jamie Carroll, the head nurse treating the captives.

The Pentagon is suddenly concerned that the servicemen might "later explode with seemingly inexplicable rage - at their work or their families," the Herald reported.

The attempt at a solution: A special Navy psychiatric team is counseling and debriefing each of the estimated 1,000 Marines, soldiers and sailors at the compound.

"Many of them feel the detainees are being treated better than they are," said Cmdr. Karen Daly, a Navy psychiatrist and officer in charge of the Special Psychiatric Rapid Intervention Team, which has begun making rounds.

But our men and women in uniform are leery.

"Officially, the military culture embraces the concept of mental healthcare. But other parts of military culture teach people to button up their emotions and do their jobs," the Herald reported. "Daly said she learned since coming to the base that some Marines refer to psychiatrists as 'wizards' and caution each other, 'Never talk to a wizard.'"

They deserve no less than they gave their victims in the 911 Atrocities.

Everyone of the people in that picture has passed on to await Judgement and the next life. Meanwhile, their parents, friends, spouses, little girls and boys, still cry, wishing they would return.

They never will.

There is a innate sickness that embeds itself in the American popular culture. It had died for several months after 9-11 when the country seemed to regain its common sense through just outrage. This idiocy, along with the fading of American flags everywhere, that has returned to our land is one of 'compassion' and 'benevolence'.

No other country I know shares this desire for self destruction. The biggest leader of this corrupt, nonsensical modern American concept, nowadays, in George Bush. Open Borders. Situational Terrorism. No Racial profiling. World Socialist Welfare Bailouts. Anything to look politically correct, and cool, and keep oneself isolated from the attacks of liberals, will be done even if it were to mean treating terrorists with privileges; terrorists who killed our fellow Americans here crying on ledges and pondering their last minutes on this earth.

Damn! this political correctness and all who indulge in in, including some leaders who should know better.

It's 90 miles to Gitmo and I've got a boat, anyone want to load up for an Afghan butt whuppin' contest?

This is beyond an outrage, I'm sure the prisoners laugh all day long dreaming about their new coming U.S. citizenship and welfare checks, free housing. It's unbelievable that our service men & women have to endure this outrage.......

About a month or so ago, there was the wife of a Service man who is in Gitmo on one of the FNC's programs and was complaining of the exact same thing

We wouldn't want any of our boys to hurt our Afgan guests now would we? (wink wink). So we are sending in a specialist to talk to them...
