Americans should realize that Israel is acting as a buffer and protecting the United States from substantial additional terrorism. The extremist Moslem world is against modern civilization and, in many respects, the United States is fortunate that its primary ally in the Middle-East,Israel,is taking the primary blow from the terorists. if there were no Israel, the Unted States would be #1 on the list of terrorist targets. Israel also is gaining experience on how to handle extreme and constant terrorism ---an attack a day and more. Sharon is now trying to root out ALL of the terrorists in Palestine, which is quite a challenging task (and maybe, impossible), but we will learn from his experience. I believe that as long as there is an Israel that America will remain a secondary target of the Jihan-Hamas-taliban-terrorist-- extemist Moslem world. Currently Israel is acting as a shield, buffer and, in a sense protects the United States by taking the brunt of terrorism. We need them almost as much as they need us. They are a democracy fighting against a new strategy of horror. Americans should be grateful.

Israel is a country in contradiction with itself, it tries to be a theocracy and a democracy at the same time but it would have much more stability if it went totally one way or the other. Make itself either a totally secular state that favors nobody, jews or anybody else, or only allow jewish citizens to live there much as Saudi Arabia only allows Moslems in its borders. Only then can it hope for peace.

I want to remain on God's side. Therefore, I'll stick with Israel, thanks.
