Former President Clinton and family vacation in Dominican Republic
Mon Apr 1, 6:35 PM ET
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic - Former U.S. President Bill Clinton, his wife, Sen. Hillary Clinton, have arrived for a second straight holiday in the Dominican Republic, this year with their daughter, Chelsea, a spokesman for the resort said Monday.
The Clintons flew in a private plane Saturday to Punta Cana Airport, at the eastern most tip of the Caribbean country, 205 kilometers (128 miles) from the capital, said Manuel Quiterio Cedeno, spokesman for Punta Cana Resort and Club.
For a second straight year, Dominican fashion designer Oscar de la Renta was hosting the Clintons at his villa in the exclusive resort, known for its security and privacy.
Bill and Hillary Clinton stayed at the villa last year, also around Easter, but without Chelsea.
On Sunday, the Clintons attended a Catholic church service to celebrate Easter, and then had lunch at Spanish singer Julio Iglesias' home, also at the resort.
Among the guests at Iglesias' home were Dominican president Hipolito Mejia and Pilar de Borbon, sister of Spain's King Juan Carlos.
The Clintons were scheduled to return to the United States on April 6, he said.
This is the former U.S. president's third visit to the Dominican Republic. Two weeks ago he was the guest speaker at the Inter-American Press Association forum in the Caribbean country.
Hillary Clinton, who is a senator representing New York, also has visited the island three times. In 1998 she stayed briefly at de la Renta's house following an official visit to Central America after hurricane Mitch struck the region.

Anybody have the name of a bed and breakfast in Zimbabwe. Maybe we could interest the Clinton's in a real estate venture there, as well.

Nawwwww, that was for his, um, daughter...yeah, that's the ticket!

So they still can't pay their own way? I wish Bill would move to another continent, take his wife and daughter, and never call us again.

FOR GOD SAKES who gives a royal FUDGE what the SCUM family does! Why don't they just CROAK AND DIE already!

I think I'll just trash my bottle of Oscar de la Renta! The bottle will forever remind of someone unpleasant. Can anyone think of an appropriate method of disposing this little bottle? (P.S.: it really is a wonderful fragrance - no wonder he is so rich!)

Bubba had lunch with Julio? PERFECT COUPLE! A few years ago Julio's father was telling the press that Julio had sons that even the womens' husbands didn't know were little Julios.
And Bubba and Hitlery went to Mass at a Catholic church? Did Clintoon carry his big bible? Did Catholics walk out when he walked in? This Catholic would have.
Well, guess I'll just have to get rid of my charge card at Oscar's and go back to buying my clothes at KMart.

Will we have the pleasure of being able to see them dance on the beach together again?

Hillary made her annual visit to Oscar de la Renta's villa for more of his advice that has made her one of the most chic figures in the fashion world today.

Oscar de la Renta is one of the more tasteful and reasonably-priced designers. His perfumes are good, his ties are understated yet elegant, his women's clothes are generally attractive and flattering to the wearer, and I'll never buy anything by him again. I don't generally nurse grudges, but the Clintbags are different.
