Just remember that it was this same sort of media people who were caught redhanded sneaking terrorists out of Arafat's HQ and then complained about their rights when arrested.

I always wondered what "rights" those were supposed to be.

If they were American journalists, their rights end at the border. You can take the American out of America, but they can't take their Constitutional protections with them.

So this happened in SEATTLE?Not New Orleans?O.K.,I'm clear now. This is the Mob you get when you have unlimited immigration into America.(It all starts in the home.)At least these people are stuck in Seattle.I wonder if they've published this photo in the Local Paper, so these Scum's Bosses' and Relatives can spot the offending humans and give them grief. It's unbelieveable that these people are all in their 18-30 age group."Better put some Ice on that honey." Comment of #42 (AKA as the Hated) to Juanita Broderick.

My personal vote for photo of the year would be for the Tom Franklin photograph of the firefighters raising the flag at the ruins of the WTC.

However, what the story does not mention is that National Press Photographers Association created a special category for photos related to the Attack on America. I don't know why they felt they needed a separate category; Perhaps they wanted to ensure that coverage of other things was not overshadowed by the War on Terror.

This is the photo that won in the Attack on America category:

Hell, maybe it won because it was so ethnically diverse...

Correct you are, but the majority of those in the photo were "coming of age" during the example of X42, who made it "acceptable" in the eyes of teenage boys on the cusp.

I just don't buy that, I don't think that mob was thinking "hey bubba fooled around with his intern and made unwanted pass at that Paula Jones, so I think I'll join in the molestation of this woman.." Clinton is scum there is no doubt, but blaming the sort of behavior displayed here as caused by Clinton is rhetoric not reality. This behavior is not the work of poor presidency, but poor parenting.

Thanks for the email. As far as I am concerned this is pornography,,a photo of a sexual assault in progress. It sickens me beyond belief. What is wrong with these people? Have they know decency? The only thought this provokes is why in hell it wasn't used to prosecute the crowd then destroyed.

Thanks, codebreaker. It's nice to know that we have real men like you who would believe in protecting women.

Your headline is misleading. There were separate categories for "Attack on America". The Mardi Gras picture was in the category "Domestic News (Newspaper)". Much ado about nothing.

Oh, I don't think that was what was on their minds at the moment...It's clear there wasn't a damn thing on their minds at that moment! THAT was the point...Having grown through their teen years watching "the most powerful man on the planet" get away with what HE did and calling him "the guy we'd most want to party with", all guilt or thought of right & wrong were washed away in a few cups of beer and the seeds of that thinking were planted before the first cup was poured.

Bottom Line...Clinton served HIS purposes as a bad influence on MANY of these men and thousands of others yet to mollest in drunken irresponsibility.

Wondervixen,

Just going to disagree on this one. These boys behavior is the result of bad or poor upbringing not poor presidency. Evil exists in the world, always has always will it is a parents duty to make sure that children understand and do not partake of it. That they have the moral fibre not to behave in the way these people did, even if "EVERYONE ELSE IS" or "SOMEONE ELSE GOT AWAY WITH IT".

Clinton was not the cause or even a motivator in the attack photographed... poor and absentee parenting was.

LET'S NOT FORGET:

As this woman was assaulted, Kris Kime was brutally murdered after he tried to break up an assault on another female - all while the Seattle Chief of Police Gil Kerlikowski and the Mayor Paul Schell watched the scenes unfold below from their safe perch on top of a Pioneer Square parking garage. Chief Kerlikowski ordered police officers to stay put and not go into the crowd to make arrests.

What happened to the miserable cowardly little perp who was eventually arrested for Kime's murder? He got 15 years - that's it.
Justice in Seattle.

The funeral photos for the firefighers and police plus the 9/11 aftermath were eligible for competition. (I viewed the pictures on the site)

The smiles on the faces of those men are evil.....Tells you a lot about human nature.

A crowd of men gives their full attention to a woman performing a public sex act on
a lamppost during Fat Tuesday celebrations in Pioneer Square. (February 28, 2001)
