The 9/11 photo should have won. But media awards are about the media. The media can take a great deal of responsiblity for creating the culture in which those criminals are revelling. Now, they take a picture of a criminal act for which in part they can credit, and they give themselves an award for doing so. This past year in photographs was about terrorism and American heroism, to put our lawless cities and our criminal culture in the forefront is wrong, but considering the source of the award is expected.

Clinton probably was nearby trying to cop a feel..

Not sure of the Race, but you are absolutely right.
There is a dark skinned woman with one hand on a breast and one in the panties.
Yet... Not one mention of the perverted woman doing this. Of course, that would look bad for the Rosie lovers. Can't have that!

What is wrong with those people, I looked at the photos on the webiste that were in the contest..how can a snuff picture beat out a firefighter praying in front of the Statue of Liberty?
I don't understand those judges and never want to.

Youre right, the lesbo has both hands on the woman...it's a reverse hate crime!
To: colorado tanker
You mean they waited 6 months to do the anti fireman piece, how sickening.

It looks like America, finally we have debased the entire culture to the point where women are sexually assaulting women!
To: codebreaker
If you look in the upper left hand corner, there is another man videotaping the event.
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
Is this a double reverse hate crime?
To: codebreaker
Agreed.

Think of it this way... it graphically depicts how low our culture has fallen.

Yes, diversity is a wonderful thing. Don't leave out the fact that people go to the Mardi Gras to loose their inhibitions, and that is probably true of the woman being molested.

I don't need to see graphic examples of it, the only reason the paper didn't publish is because the black lesvbian is getting two handfuls.
Even if she was arrested it wouldn't make the papaers.

So the woman by asking for the beads deserved the gang groping?

Mardi Gras Sex Assault Photo wins Press Photographers Award for 2001 (not Sept. 11 images) Guess things are back to normal.

You think Rosie O' Donnell and her ilk will even acknowledge this happened?
There will be a big time media blackout like the Arkansas Homosexual murders..

I don't know what the end result of the situation was, but I think if the photographer took the pictures with the mindset of bringing the perps to justice I think he was being smart. If he had just jumped in the middle without capturing it on film, he would have been peaten to a pulp and nobody would know who the perps are. Of course it would have been a target rich environment for those of us that carry concealed.
