Excuse the vanity Freepers. My Ohio State Universitry senior Econ major leaves Thursday morning for a spring break trip to DC. Looking for night life recommendations that don't involve interns. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Appreciate the suggestions, estrogen! He'll be looking for those spots once he gets thrown out of Teddy's place!

Adams Morgan has a a variety of places to hang out. Good resturants, and several clubs. It's also near the U street entertainment district, which has more bars and clubs. I prefer U street, which has more live music (rock/alterna pop (Black Cat, 9:30, Velvet Lounge)). The dance clubs on U street also lean more towards hip-hop, which for my money is better if you're going to a dance club. YMMV. Another good dance alternative is Traxx, but it's in SW and there's not a lot else near it.
I do everything I can to stay away from Georgetown, although it probably is easier to pick up easy drunken college chicks there. I prefer a little more challenge, but again, YMMV.

This should really be in "Breaking News". the "News" section doesn't do it justice.

Tell him to go to the "Tune In" on Pennsylvania Avenue on Capaitol Hill. No interns there -- (wall to wall, and covering the floor when it's late). Or the main room upstairs at the Fish Market in Alexandia. He'll have great service if he tells Darryl, the piano player, that "John Armor" sent him. When he comes home, insist that he sing for you, "You Picked a Fine Time to Leave me, Lucille." Older, wiser crowd. Not an intern in sight.

Pick up a copy of the free weekly, Washington City Paper. It's packed with ads for clubs, restaurants, art galleries and theaters.
