VANCOUVER, B.C. -- At least 30 more investigators are being added to the police task force probing the disappearance of 50 women, a television station reported yesterday. In addition, a task force search of a suburban pig farm implicated in the case could last three years, BC-CTV News said. Some 80 investigators and 12 forensic specialists are already working on the search of the farm in Port Coquitlam.
Investigators originally anticipated the search of the farm belonging to Robert William Pickton would take a few months but that estimate has since increased.
Pickton, 52, has been charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of two of the women.
"It'll easily be a year, more or less, that we're going to be, probably, physically on the site," Vancouver police Detective Scott Driemel told a news conference last week.
He was not immediately reachable last night to comment on the television report.
CTV pinned the new estimate on unidentified task force sources.
One lead investigator -- also unidentified -- has also told relatives of some of the missing women that the women are dead, CTV said.
Fifty women, many of them prostitutes, have disappeared from Vancouver's seedy downtown eastside since 1983 -- 39 of them in the last six years.
A massive search of the farm has been under way since Feb. 5.

OMG. Reminds me of "Hannibal". there was also a "B" movie I saw years ago on "Elvira" that had to do with pigs being used to "dispose" of the evidence. eeeuw.

Thats right, in the movie "Snatch", the guy was feeding bodies to hogs. He said they can eat through a corpse really fast, bones and everything.

That's so horrible. If you know someone creepy who suddenly decides to become a pig farmer - be afraid.
One of the more sinister aspects of this case is this guy had a lot of parties at his house, and the prostitutes would invite each other out there. A lot of people may be involved in these "disappearances" as their brand of party entertainment. Clowns are annoying, after all -- why not just have sex, drugs and murder?

There is no such thing as a corn fed pig. At least one half of all pigs diet is excement. The porkers scarf up all turds hitting the concrete floors they are raised on. The pigs do not have an internal cleaning system, when you eat pork you are enjoying the wonderful meat full of turds. A pork eater is basically a shite eater...bon appetite turd snapper!!!!

Tell me. Are you a Peta or ALF/ELF member?
The only BS being served here is from you.
Crack open a text book about animals and you'll notice that it states that pigs tend to be very clean animals.

You are so full of chicken manure you reek. Take your stupid brand of terrorism elsewhere. Moron.

Crack open a text book about animals and you'll notice that it states that pigs tend to be very clean animals.Pigs are incapable of sweating which means they can't release toxins as well as other animals(like cows for instance). I have no idea if pigs are 'shit-eaters' as that other guy asserted but so what if they are? Its already been through the body once, twice ain't going to make a difference to the meat.

Pigs like all mammals have to get rid of the toxins that build up in their system some way. Maybe they sweat through their tougues like dogs. At the very least they probably filter the toxins out of their system through their kidneys and liver.

Doesn't Canada already have a 5 day waiting period before buying a pig for "farming" purposes?

This guy must have read "Unintended Consequences" by John Ross.

Per your private e-mail... and I am sorry you are too stupid to see the impossibility of your own assertations. Your name is listed in the dictionary as the definition of MORON!
