Instead of
The Oscars, I'm watching
Executive Decision (1995?), a marvelous nail-biter of a thriller, starring Kurt Russell and Halle Berry, about a group of Arab terrorists who hijack a jumbo jet, and rather than making demands, plan on exploding its huge payload of a nerve gas bomb in D.C., which will then kill off the entire Eastern seaboard. The movie was almost prophetic -- pre-911, the assumption was always that hijackers wanted something, rather than wholesale carnage.
In the past, I always found the movie rip-roaring entertainment, but now I find myself emotionally involved in it to a degree that would, absent 911, border on the pathological.

No, in the original Pink Panther movie, the Pink Panther (played by David Niven) was quite the ladies' man pursuing both Madame Clouseau and the Indian Princess Dala. I do remember that movie a little. YOu're exactly correct. One of the ladies that Niven pursuing also fell for Sellers I think..unless it was an act..

He is not on his deathbed, but he has had enough old agers afflictions to slow down his work schedule dramatically.

I thought they were going to take the Obligatory Stupid Production Numbers out of the telecast this year.
What a waste of time.

Cirque du Soliel loses its magic on TV... It is much more impressive in person.

" I though Gandalf had this sewn up! This stinks!" Just goes to prove that these people worship sleaze...not virtue.
