Uma Thurman. Now that's a dress. The words "hubba-hubba" come to mind.

" don't find it amusing either, but I'm sure watching Rosie O'Dumbell walking down the redcarpet is amusing."

Huh? You might want to try taking English as a first language.

That picture of Cameron and Gwyneth reminds me of the 'heroin chick' look.

Her face looks puffy, maybe from steroids or too much booze.

I seem to see some different trends here, and I wonder if they reflect the thinking in Hollywood:

1. True Hollywood glamour, harking back to the days of the late 30's and the 40's (Nicole Kidmman, J-Lo, Sissy Spacek for example)
2. Decadence with an emphasis on body, even if it is UNattractive (McCartney's girlfriend, that Jennifer Campbell person)
3. Totally clueless, fashion victims to malevolent designers who prey on insecure stars ("Trust me darling, hiking the hem up in front reveals your best feature, your legs!")

I think J-Lo's dress tells you a lot about where the truly trendy are going. Although the color is not the best, the style is very retro-glam, and her hair is combed and arranged. It is very 40-s looking to me, as is Sissy Spacek's gown and Nicole's hair.

As an aside, why does Helen Hunt's hair ALWAYS look dirty?

Definitely - that hair color is wrong for Nicole - and the dress color, but her hair is styled prettily instead of all tangled. Uma and Jennifer Connelly are not wearing make-up. What is with them? I don't check the mail without wearing make up.

Paul McCartney's girlfriend looks bored out of her mind. That is one of those pictures that just begs for a thought bubble over her head!

I almost fell out of my chair when Kate said "I just hope I don't have to pee anytime soon".

What is it with the pastels tonight? The best color choice so far was Joan Rivers' dress, she looked smashing. And that hostess on ABC--the one with the horse collar thing hanging around her neck--that red looks fabulous on her...knockout shoes too!
