Power company employees ask for full investigation of electricity pylon explosion
ATHENS, Greece (AP) -- The union representing Public Power Company employees on Tuesday demanded a full investigation into a powerful explosion that damaged a high voltage electricity pylon connecting Greece with Italy.
The blast late Sunday near Greece's border with Albania toppled an electricity pylon connected to an undersea power cable which runs to Italy. Police said they are investigating the blast, caused by a large amount of dynamite, but have no leads in the case.
"If the explosion is an act of sabotage, then the issue is of major importance," the union said in an announcement, which called on "the government and Public Power Company to ensure the security of facilities and unhindered functioning of the company, and the country's power supply."
The cable, which can transport up to 400,000 volts of electricity, was not working at the time of the explosion and no power outages occurred.

Yes, they are well known thieves....especially of land which does not belong to them...and NEVER belonged to them. If ever there was a country in need of family planning...THAT IS IS THE ONE!!

I dont know why they say
"if it is sabatoge", I think it is pretty obvious!
I will say that hopefully this will wake some people up here as to our vulnerabilities on the homefront.
The US Navy War College published a great research paper back in 1999 about the targets for terrorist here in this country. Including hard physical targets to our infrastructure and cyber targets.

Last year, the albanians blew a bus filled with KosovO Serbians who were coming back to KosovO from refugee camps (further into Serbia) to visit their families graves and Churches.....a bomb in a culvert blew up one of the buses and 14 people were killed, including a family of 3...Mom and Dad and the 18 month old baby boy.
UN police actually captured 4 of the bombers...they were seen in the area and the fingerprints on the detonator handle and cigarett butts...implicated them. 3 were set free by albanian judges... one had "escaped" from camp bondsteel prior to that.
HANDMADE BOMBS AND ISLAM, the Inseparable Duo....could be the title of a book.

Ah yes and Comrade Clinton had us bombing the Christian Serbians and helping the Osama Bin Laden backed Islamic Albanians in Kosovo. Michael Savage brought up tonight how helpful Serbians were to US pilots during WWII. He said if they had one potato, they gave it to the downed pilot and sacrificed themselves.
It may take decades to undo the damage done by Clinton-Gore.

Somebody explain immediately! a high voltage electricity pylon connecting Greece with Italy. Hang on, hoss! Yeah, I reckon it wasn't connected. Those two countries of classical antiquity do not share any borders, and I double assure you there are no wires across the strait that separates Italy from Albania. Guess you missed the part about it, the line that is, being connected to an underwater cable. I'd like to see that, a 400KV underwater power line, but remind me not to go swiming in the area where it goes into the water.
