We're not talking Arlington, Texas here, are we? Unless he ran a long, long, way. I love the state-guessing game.

The woman fired her gun once, striking Driscoll in the neck, police said. He fled the scene, ran to a relative's home and called police to report being shot and ask for medical help.

What an idiot that man was! How did he plan to explain to the officers exactly HOW he got shot?

Good for that woman being able to defend herself!

Thanks, Ma'am! You've done yourself, your community, and the nation a favor.

"There have been no arrests in the incident, which is still under investigation."

Odds are she will be arrested too for not having a permit...

Having lived in the peoples republic of taxa2shits I am amazed that this heroic woman isn't already in jail. The police in Boston are every bit as corrupt as their counterparts in Mexico!

Darn right convenient for the crook to call the cops for her, but she should have shot twice

Pity, that. She clearly didn't squeeze off the round but tightened her grip as the round went off. Otherwise, she'd have a nice center of mass shot. Better luck next time, Ma'am.

When I first saw the title [not noticing "Boston" or "Mass"], I figured it must be Arlington, Texas. Then, I thought that maybe it was Arlington, Virginia. But Massachusetts??

Good shootin' and am glad she hit her intended target.

Boy, that Hooter's really did put Arlington, Texas on the map.

I was hoping it was Texas for the woman's sake. Since it happened in Massachusetts I think this lady is going to lose her gun.

In Massachusetts, the woman will probably be prosecuted, and the burglar will sue for "assault".
