'The O'Reilly-Clinton Factor'?
Fox News Channel star Bill O'Reilly has invited New York Sen. Hillary Clinton to co-host the debut of his nationally syndicated radio show, and if she works out the invite could be permanent.
O'Reilly is set to hit the AM airwaves on May 8 which, incidentally, is the eleventh anniversary of the day Hillary's husband asked a certain Little Rock office gal to "kiss it".
Mrs. Clinton is among several "very bright women" the TV talker says he would like to audition.
"We're going to bring in the feminine point of view," the FNC host tells. "We're going to give them a shot and see how it works for us."
O'Reilly's radio show is set to go live opposite reigning radio mega-talent Rush Limbaugh nationally, including on KABC in Los Angeles and on tape delay on WOR in New York, with the station's king of political talk, Bob Grant, moving to the 5 to 7 p.m. ET time slot.
NewsMax first broke the story that O'Reilly was to air on WOR.
"The Factor" host told his TV audience last night he'd be announcing other stations soon.
Sen. Clinton has been a semi-regular guest with WOR's Joan Hamburg, who generally sticks to consumer issues and avoids hard political talk.
WABC Radio offered Clinton her own talk show during her 2000 Senate campaign, but insisted that the station's regular screeners handle her callers, a stipulation that was considered a deal breaker.
So far, Mrs. Clinton has not responded to O'Reilly's offer.
I don't know about anybody else, but I'd pay real money to see this. Not on a regular basis, of course. But one time. . . it would be better than a Celebrity Death Match.
Even assuming it doesn't open up "equal time" or "conflict of interest" issues to have a sitting U.S. Senator host a radio show, the same Hildebeast whose current "public appearances" are never less than carefully scripted "invite only" meetings, would never submit herself to the potential exposure of calls from Freepers, etc., day in and day out. And you know she could never stand the thought of even having a "co-host."
This is a big publicity stunt for O'Reilly that serves the dual purpose of getting exposure for the new show and attempting to create the impression of "no spin."
"Mrs. Clinton is among several "very bright women" the TV talker says he would like to audition. "
So if that is his idea of bright...we can imagine what dim bulbs he considers geniuses.
People need to realize O'Reilly is no conservative. As I've said before, Bill O'Reilly is a liberal without the bleeding heart.
I know a fellow who grew up with O'Reilly, and this fellow has been saying what you just posted, for years. He said that O'Reilly is the typical Irish Catholic Liberal. A lot of people think that he is conservative. Wrong!
However, this is just publicity for his new radio show which will belly up before the end of the year. That show should be about as successful as MoonBeam Brown's talk show was.
