The driving is no problemo, it's the two ferries, each way. one of which requires about a two month advance reservation and costs about $100, round trip. The On-Time II or On-Time III (Egartown to Chappaquiddick) are first-come, first-served for a nominal fee. I'm allegeric to MV, especially since Clintoon spilled his seed there, so no chance of spending the week. BTW, Howie Carr rented the Chappiquiddick party house in 1999 on the week of July 18 for about $600 and broadcast his show live from there to "celebrate" the 30th anniversary. What a pissa!
MV isn't all that bad. Fat, out of shape, liberal Manhattanites huffing and puffing their ten speeds on ABSOLUTELY LEVEL sea shore roads make easy targets, hell they practically throw themselves under your tires. Unfortunately they don't make good vitals, stick to squirrels and racoons. Skunk if you're really hungry.
Fantastic idea for a summer meeting! Had no idea that 7/18 was the anniversary date....if I recall correctly it is also the date that JFK, Jr.'s plane crashed.
The real bridge location is rather remote....may I suggest a picnic/FREEP in Hyannis to get more visibility?
