Thank you for your lesson in Eastern theology. You seem, however, not at all versed in Taoism. The Devine spirit is in us all and the only place one needs to look to find it is within ourselves. My curosity is about why so many serious seekers of Jesus have such drastically opposing views on what the Bible means - just a simple question that everyone dances around with scriptural quotes but no answers.

Your belief that the divine is in all of us is what we call gnosticism. We reject it outright. The message of Jesus is simple -- once He comes into the boat, you're at the other shore. He is the Divine, we do not have it without Him. He gives us the light, the divine spark. All you have to do is believe that He is who he said he was and did what he said he did and will do what he says that he will.

Christians all agree, or should, that there is no salvation without Christ. A religionless Christianity is the ideal. When men get into reading the Word, they become like lawyers and their ego gets in the way. The rest of us can't help that.

I answered this question, so stop lying.

God's truth is perfect. People are imperfect. Imperfect people make mistakes. God makes no mistakes. Imperfect people who try to interpret the bible without God's Holy Spirit end up confused and argumentative. Like you.
