Adaptability means beauty is as beauty does: If it's famous and rich, it must be doing something right, and so its appearance becomes a standard of beauty. A big nose is transformed into the prow of a grecian warship proudly parting the sea of life . . . .
That applies only in what females find beautiful in males. There are universal beauty laws that apply to female attractiveness to male eyes.
