After Sept. 11, isn't it time for the U.S. government to come clean with the American people about Timothy McVeigh, Terry Nichols and the Oklahoma City bombing?
Last week, the Manila Times reported that Abu Sayyaf terrorists in the Philippines had formed an alliance with Osama bin Laden and neo-Nazi groups long before the U.S. terrorist attacks last fall. The report said Philippine authorities reported all this to the U.S. government, along with information about plots on U.S. targets.
"Before slain Abu Sayyaf Group co-founder Edwin Angeles surrendered in 1994 to military authorities at the Armed Forces Southern Command in Zamboanga City, he first met with Ramzi Youssef, convicted mastermind of the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993," said the Manila Times report. "That meeting, which also had four other Filipinos and foreign Muslim extremists, was unique in that the group was meeting for the last time with Oklahoma City bombing accomplice Terry Nichols."
Even before that, the report continued, Abu Sayyaf coordinated another meeting with both Nichols and McVeigh, who has since been executed for his role in the Oklahoma City bombing.
Angeles, the report said, described specific U.S. targets of future terrorist attacks including the Oklahoma City Federal Building, destroyed in 1996, and a more deadly attack on the World Trade Center.
Still, despite this evidence, U.S. authorities have rejected – at least officially – any suggestion of a wider plot involving McVeigh, Nichols and Islamic terrorists.
Why? Why after Sept. 11 is the U.S. purposely turning a blind eye to the obvious? McVeigh and Nichols did not have the resources or ability to destroy the Alfred P. Murrah Building by themselves. It was clearly not the work of a single truck bomb. It was a sophisticated operation involving sophisticated explosive devices.
A friend of mine has made it her personal mission to secure through the Freedom Of Information Act the documents that would show whether Timothy McVeigh was still in the Army during his involvement in the 1996 bombing. What harm could such knowledge do now? Still, the federal government has steadfastly rejected turning over the one page document that would clarify this little mystery. Why? How is that a matter of national security? McVeigh is dead.
Why won't the government come clean?
Now that the U.S. is involved in a full-scale international war on terrorism, you might think any reservations about revealing a wider threat would be academic. Still, the cover-up continues.
Is the government concerned about liability issues? Is it concerned about civil suits by survivors who learn the government had foreknowledge of the Oklahoma City bombing and did little or nothing to prevent it?
Maybe. Last month, WorldNetDaily reported that the FBI's top counterterrorism agent checked into an Oklahoma City hotel nearly nine hours before a truck bomb destroyed the Alfred P. Murrah Building. The government offers no explanation of this little inconvenient fact.
Osama bin Laden may not have been a household name to most Americans before Sept. 11, but it was to WorldNetDaily readers – who learned months earlier of evidence that his al-Qaida terrorist network was implicated in the Oklahoma City bombing.
Less than a month before the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, WorldNetDaily told its readers about an independent report on the Oklahoma City bombing that pointed to a wider conspiracy.
As for me, I'm going to keep asking questions:
- Why did FBI investigators on the scene of the bombing April 19, 1995, announce to the public and media (including CNN and local television stations) that two more unexploded bombs were found inside the Murrah Building? Why do they steadfastly refuse to explain either how they were mistaken in those findings or their theories about who placed those explosive devices?
- Why did Attorney General John Ashcroft refuse to meet with independent bombing investigator Charles Key, a former Oklahoma legislator, with regard to his findings, which starkly contradict the official government line?
- Why isn't anyone in the FBI being punished for the years-long delay in turning over evidentiary documents to McVeigh's defense?
- How does the FBI explain the way the laws of physics were defied in its lone-truck-bomb theory – causing a pattern of damage totally inconsistent with such a device on the ground in front of the building?
- Why were rescue workers prevented from continuing the search for survivors hours after the explosion while federal officials removed boxes of documents from the building, as reported in the New York Daily News?
- Why did the Oklahoma City command post of the FBI order all agents to discontinue the search for other suspects in the bombing shortly after the blast, according to agent Thomas Ravenelle as reported in Digital City Denver?
- Why was McVeigh's initial "confession" fabricated by investigators, as reported in the Washington Post? Was anyone ever disciplined for this abuse of authority?
- Why was there bomb-squad activity in and around the Murrah Building hours before the blast?
- Why were warnings about just such an attack on a federal building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995, by an informant of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms ignored by investigators?
There are many more questions still unanswered. But that's a start.
This isn't about Farah or Bush or even about Bill Clinton. It isn't about World Net Daily. It's about getting to the ------- bottom of a batch of lies that would fill the Murrah Building to the brim were it still standing. And the longer time goes buy without these questions being answered, the more I think the Murrah Building should be still standing.
Now back to the bashing of everyone except those who won't release the information at answer the questions. I'd hate to ruin the disinformation specialist's wonderful morning.

And he remains *your president* only until such time as he cheapens your vote by offering amnesty to uncounted thousands of illegal aliens from Mexico and other locales to the south and mandating that they be allowed to vote in US elections. At that point, he becomes their president and not yours, but by then, it won't be your country anymore anyway.
Now go wave your US flag like a good boy. But take off the stars for Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas, at least.
